Q: I have very little exposure to staples and industrials in my portfolio, which is mainly composed of ETFs. What do you think of these companies, which are all rated outperform by RBC? Is KPT a good proxy for staples? If not, what would you suggest? Please rate the other three in the industrials category in order of preference. Thank you.

Q: If you had a well balanced portfolio and were looking to add some medium to small sized companies that were involved in industrial activity of various types, how would you feel about each of these companies on a scale of 1 to 10, with a 10 being a stock you definitely want to add right now, a 1 being a stock you have absolutely no interest in, and a 5 being a stock you thought was not bad, but not good enough to want to buy it. Say you have a risk tolerance of about a 7, with 10 being high and 1 being low. Looking for long term total return. ANRG, DIR.UN, FTT, GDI, HDI, ITP, NOA, XTC.
Q: In the current economic conditions, do you feel Finning provides a good exposure to the industrial sector? Thanks for your valuable opinion.
Q: Finning has dropped a fair amount lately and down near 15% from where I purchased. I believe that the CEO announced a temporary leave for health reasons. Would you continue to hold FTT or is there another industrial sector client you'd suggest?
Q: Why would FTT keeps on sliding after a reasonable Q3 result just days ago? I'm thinking about starting a position and need to clarify that.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Good morning, can you please comment on Finning's results and outlook? Is now a good time to initiate a position?
Thanks,
Jeff

Q: Hi 5i,
The what appears to be steady business of Toromont stands out to me. What do you see as the major differences between Toromont and Finning today, and which do you prefer?
Thank you!

Q: To gain exposure to industrials would you prefer TIH, FTT, Stantec or another? Are TIH and FTT similar businesses, meaning would you ever hold both in the same portfolio with a limited number of holdings?
Q: Finning’s results looked decent. There appeared to be a wee dividend increase. Is that correct?

Q: Good day. Industrials account for 13% of my portfolio. Currently I hold the companies listed above. I need to invest another $10,000 to bring my allocation to 13%. All the stocks listed are fairly equal weight. My question is which of these stocks do you think I should increase...or delete, and do you have a recommendation for a different stock that would fit here? I am thinking of adding TFII but am concerned it may be a duplication of the Mullen and CNR holdings. I look forward to your reply.
Q: I am down on Finning. Do you see upside? I am underwater. Thank you
Q: what happened today with the big decline ... also, i am invested in FTT, is this a hold for now ...thx
Q: May I please have your comments on the earnings for both companies. Thank you

Q: Hello,
I am looking at the equipment manufacturers and auto industry as possible directions for new investments. The above names are ones I have been considering but am interested in knowing what you think about heavy equipment versus automotive and within those categories, what you think might be the better choices.
Many thanks,
V

Q: I currently hold 3% positions in FTT, TCL.A, ARE in the Industrial; as well as MG and NFI in Consumer Discretionary (I realize that these are in a different sectors but are also semi-industrial). I am thinking of adding MAL as a long term recovery play. FTT, & ARE had been added last year for these reasons. I'm quite bullish in NFI and see it as having the most upside in the short term.
Do you see this as being a good addition/strategy?
To fund a 1.5% position MAL is there one company that you see as not having as much "upside" that you would trim by half, or a combination that you would suggest trimming from?
Thanks!
Cory
