Q: Hi Peter
The IPO for WISE (previously TRANSFERWISE) was July 2021 and the share price has dropped from a high of GBP 11.4 to now about GBP 3.4. I realize you don't cover European or English stocks but I'd be grateful if you could provide some basic data, such as amount of debt, free cash flow, P/E etc. Is this a stock which you would hold over the long term? As there is a lot of competition in the fintec sector, is there any news of duress experienced by WISE, or a likelihood of the firm going bankrupt?

Q: Could I have some clarification on the dividend for this stock. Your database shows a dividend of 1.94, but morningstar and globe and mail both report a dividend of 6.47. Just wondering on the big difference. Tnx

Q: The difference between these two is fairly wide. I am under the impression the gap should have closed over time but it remains fairly high. I have a small number of shares of BIPC and a larger number of BIP.UN. Thinking of selling BIP.UN and buying BIPC with the proceeds, both have some gains. Both in a Cash account. Thoughts?

Q: I read where the Chinese gov't has approved a digital yuan through Yuan Pay Group. They talk about having a fixed price and have someone immediately call you to put money in. They seem pretty pushy and articles say that once the digital yuan is adopted by others it could take off. Appreciate your thoughts

Q: Follow your balanced portfolio. I have about 15% of my portfolio in US funds. It is split with15% google and 85% vgg. Wondering if I should split my vgg with another us etf.

Q: In other answers I see that you are recommending tax loss selling. My positions in PYPL and ROKU are down about 50% and they're large enough that the tax loss would definitely benefit me. However, I'm worried about selling them because I feel like if the market improves, they could bounce back to the point where my benefit from the tax loss is nullified by the missed bounce until I can re-buy after 30 days. (For reference, if they bounce back to their early April prices, that would outweigh my benefit from the tax loss).

On the other hand, I think both are attractive at today's prices so if I don't sell for a tax loss I would probably add a bit to both positions.

Do you like PYPL and ROKU at today's prices (to add to current positions) or do you think they're better targets for tax-loss selling and re-buying in 30 days?

Q: How is GDP and its growth measured ; by $ amount or # of units ?
For example, if GDP growth is 3.1 % dollar growth but inflation is 5.1% is the economy not contracting?

Unit measurement seems to be the more accurate measurement.

Q: I've owned Pender Growth for a long time and done very well. I've accepted the high fees and volatility as the price of ownership.
But , it's now heavily concentrated in one stock - Copperleaf - and has followed CPLF's downward trajectory.
Want to make sure I am understanding this correctly , because , if so, this concentration puts me beyond comfort level with dollar value tied largely to the fate of CPLF.
Your general thoughts on PTF and its current composition appreciated .

Q: My portfolio analysis indicates I am somewhat uderweight in basic material. My present holdings are FNV and NTR. Now that I am retired, my risk level should be considered low to moderate. Dividends are not particularly important. Could you suggest 2 or 3 companies in that sector that have good prospects over the next 5 years. If none are particularly interesting at this time, I would rather wait. In the same vein, could I suggest adding the option of searching by specific sectors in Questions? Thank you.
