I'm down 21% on Sylogist. I don't see any tailwinds for this stock, do you? I'm considering selling it to purchase Photon. Would this be a wise decision?
Q: do you recommend reducing exsposure from USA and Canadian stocks and add a bit of European and Emerging market and if so what mutual funds or stocks would you recommend that are available on the Canadian or usa markets that would accomplish this
Q: I am a retired, conservative dividend-income investor. I own the above stocks plus ZLB, XIT, RBC Cdn Equity Inc, Sentry Cdn Inc, Sentry REIT, Fisgard Capital, Insured Annuities and receive a company pension and CPP. Assume a well diversified portfolio.
Question # 1 = do you see any stocks-ETFs-MFs of concern in the above list?
Question # 2 = I'd like to add one of the following: KBL, NFI, NWC, ZCL. I am looking for a safe, growing dividend, some capital appreciation and liquidity. Can you please provide your ranking and why.
Q: I heard on BNN, where Americans aren't buying Canadian Oil & Gas stocks. Viper put out a statement where there production is up 23% over first quarter & 95% yoy. Average price $73.64 down 10% Quarter one, but because of increased production, their cash flow is up & increased dividend 10%. Stock price has basically traded sideways over this years spanned & didn't have any momentum on the announcement. Undoubtedly I am missing something again. Appreciate your comment on Viper. Thanks
Q: Hi, just a follow-up regarding adding to a KHW.UN position:
I just noticed 2nd quarter financials will be released August 14. Would you recommend to wait to add until after 2nd quarter is released just in case they didn't meet/beat their expected earnings? Or do you add regardless being comfortable that they will be in-line with expectations?
Q: I bought a half position of KWH.UN July 10 and after only 3 weeks, it's down 7%. Do you recommend I add to my position and average down or wait for an certain event?
How do you determine when to add to partial positions?
Q: Hello i5,
I have followed your answers re CRH Medical Corp. holdings and by now I am down 60% with this holding! My question is, at what point do you recommend selling a stock or do you ever do that? I am a newcomer to this group so my apologies if I sound naïve.
I think the payor mix and reimbursement changes are the largest risk to this company. Assuming much more margin pressure, using very conservative estimates, my DCF model points to a higher value then current share price. Their products and services are essential and I can’t foresee a substitute. Am I missing something? Do you guys see any major long-term trends that could threaten their business model?
I have a long-term outlook (5 years out) and can handle volatility. Would you say the probabilities of a double from today's share price in 5 years is high?
Q: What did you think about the CRH conference call? Are you still confident mgmt can turn things around with the acquisitions they have promised in the remainder of 2017?
Q: The results for tou seem ok.Does 5i see as a good stock to still own as I am down $5.00 a share.Vet also is down but I still receive dividend.Do you think TOU will ever have dividend in their future.
Q: Please comment on the XTC results. Would you still hold it? I also have MG and LNR. equal weight, all represent 9% of my portfolio. Making money on all. Should I make any changes here? Looking for growth.
Thank You for excellent service.
I have some cash in my TFSA. My return in this account has not been good.

Q: Hi Peter & Team;
VII is now down 15% on the news of missed production for 2017. This is the only energy stock that I own and represents 2.5% of my portfolio. I am down about 35%. Should I hold and see what happens in 2018 or dump it? I am reluctant to buy another energy stock if I sell.
Cheers
Ron
