Q: My TFSA holdings are AC, ( even), EGLX ( up), and WELL ( down) in roughly equal amounts , and wish to add another stock having the same weighting. I am looking at the 3 stocks highlighted. My TFSA obviously leans toward riskier growth / special circumstances stocks. I am looking at the three stocks listed above but would consider any of those listed in your growth portfolio. Would you buy any of these three or what other from your portfolio ? Thanks. Derek

Q: Battery grade manganese sulfate will be more and more important in the future, for various reasons ; manganese is not rare but producing this component for batteries implies huge investments, and years to build a plan .Are they large Cies in the stock market (out of China) in North America or elsewhere, in which one could invest, and do you have recommendations any specific Cies? Q: Hello 5i,

I purchased these four funds in an income account in the summer/fall of last year. To date ZRE and CPD have hung in there, while the other two are slightly down overall including divs. Are these funds behaving the way you would expect for an income investor?

Q: I've held a DRIP (in BNS) for about twenty years. It used to be run by the company itself but now is run by Computershare. I liked it in the days when discount brokers could do dividend reinvestments, but that advantage is gone (except for the fractional shares). Also it used to offer a 10% discount on reinvested dividends but no longer does. I am wondering if it is worth keeping the shares in this account, with the main benefits gone and the drawbacks of only being able to buy/sell at month's end still in place, or if I should have them transfered to my unregistered discount brokerage (assuming I can do an in-kind transfer). What do you think?

Q: Would appreciate your guidance on capital gains reporting to CRA when a US stock in a USD trading account is sold - where does one obtain the relevant USD to CAD conversion rate if that is not provided on tax slips/statements?

Q: I have owned FSZ for a few years now and while the dividend is approx 8% the stock has not grown, in fact its lower now then it was 3 years ago. Looking to sell FSZ and looking for some suggestions as to what to purchase regardless of sector that will pay a divided with growth that will exceed the dividend of FSZ. I do not see a lot of growth for FSZ.
