The market has announced a takeover of Kinder Morgan Canada by Pembina Pipeline. The deal indicates that holders of KML will receive 0.3068 shares of PPL per 1.0 KML shares.
The Pembina news release indicates the value of the KML shares for the deal is $15.02 and the Kinder Morgan Canada news release indicates the value for the KML shares for the deal is $15.12.
The current price for PPL this morning is approximately $49.00 and the current price for KML is approximately $14.77. Therefore KML is trading slightly below the offer price ($49.00 x 0.3068 = $15.03). The deal is not anticipated to close until 1rst quarter of 2020.
I own both PPL and KML, however in separate accounts.
Based on today's prices, PPL is yielding 4.8 % and KML now yields 4.3 % (down from 5.9 % prior to merger announcement).
The deal does not indicate whether KML will continue to pay dividends in Nov 2019 and Feb 2020. Is this correct?
Should I sell my KML today and reinvest in a completely different security (I do not wish to own PPL in the account I held KML in) or wait until the merger occurs and then sell the PPL shares I receive).

If not a recipient of this offering, is there a way to monitor the activity over that above time frame?

Q: TNT.un has moved up, rather dramatically, to a new 52 week high this week. I see no news or rumours and am wondering if you do? I was thinking a new issue but I am not so sure with today’s move to $6.94. Any comments at all? Thank you.

I'm getting more and more interested in Great Canadian Gaming's prospects for a long term hold. However, I have a 5% holding in TSGI, would you side with my view of adding a 3% position of GC or would I be too heavily invested in the Gaming sector?

Q: Callable December 30, 2019. Auto recall price is $45.86 and Barrier price is $32.10 tied to referee companies ENB, IPL, PPL, and TRP. Missed recall December 28, 2018.

Should I wait for the next recall and hope for a recall and get the return or take my losses now?

Q: Believe it or not one of the key benefits of 5i is your amazing growth ideas in the US market. Although SHOP, LSPD, CSU have given me excellent returns to date your choices in the US market like AYX, TEAM, etc have been outstanding.

So my question today is, have you uncovered any other promising US gems that are growth oriented a la TEAM and AYX ,recently, that might not have been mentioned on this Q&A section as of yet.

Cramer on CNBC's Mad Money mentioned a number of cloud stocks i.e. Splunk, Alteryx, Twilio, etc....that are not your household names for cloud stocks. As far as I can see, none of the above stocks mentioned in Cramer's piece are in SKYY's (cloud stocks etf) holdings. Just wondering if you are aware of an etf that are focused on the lesser known cloud stocks.
