Q: Can you tell me what you think of a portfolio I am considering putting together consisting of some 5i all stars. Your thoughts on how this may compare to the BE portfolio performance, volatility, Saftey. Equal weights would be purchased. Sis, Syz, Zcl, toy, Pbh, Sh, Tnc, Esl, adw, Kxs, Gud, Rrx, Wcp, Cxi, Csu, Pli, xtc, Crh, sgy, Otc, Dbo, SJ. And a bank of you choice. Would you make any changes? If you don't think this would outperform then it will be the BE portfolio.

Q: Hello 5i
FSZ has been marking time since its run up earlier this year.
Do you feel this is a good "value like" entry point?

In light of the recent acquisition, have you heard or is there indication of how the purchase will be funded.......a share issue expected?


Looking to purchase for excellent dividend and 3 to 5 year growth prospects, 3% wieght in a conservative / diversified portfolio.

Q: Can you please provide your updated opinions on WEF vs. WFT? Of the two, which one do you like better, and would you buy one of these? My only position in the materials in Stella Jones (about a 7% full position), so would like your thoughts on this. Thank you for a great service!

Q: I am somewhat concerned about the negative momentum for the last couple of months. I understand there are concerns about food cost deflation and perhaps the ongoing price competition investigation. I also know that you like Loblaw because of the Shoppers earnings growth potential. Should I continue to hold or should I sell. I purchased at $72.00 today down to $66.00. Is there more downside to the stock going forward or do you see this as just a temporary set back and perhaps cycle rotation? Besides Loblaw, I own Premium Brands in the same sector and have done very well with it.

Q: About a year ago I inherited 10,000 shares of something called Gran Columbia Gold Corp. (GCM) I never hear anything much about it and although I know it's no gem, wondered if it might be worth keeping should gold rally again? Or, should I just sell it and enjoy a McDonald's All Day Breakfast. Thanks so much for your help :-)

Q: In the past I have followed and at times purchased Eldorado and done ok by it, not the first time though.
Would you by chance have another junior either gold or silver, for me to put on my watch list...and for me gold/ silver is a one stock position.

Q: Hi Gang, could you give me your latest take on the above. Their acquisition closes this month and they will announce US70 million in refinancing to pay down debt. The analysts give it a target price of 7$ over the next 12 months. I have had this for over a year and it has not been the smoothest ride but I'm up none the less.
