Q: Hi guys
please give me your opinion of Summit Industrial REIT. It looks to have a high dividend rate which appears sustainable to me, but will appreciate your view.
Q: Do Vanguard ETF's actually own the shares in their ETF's or is it some derivative that they use? If they don't own the shares, what risk does this present? I seem to recall that there was a difference between Blackrock and Vanguard in this regard. Is that true?
Q: I know you do not cover US stocks, but do you have any comments on the payout ratio of Royal Dutch Shell, and is it sustainable. At 7.5% Dividend, it looks attractive in an income portfolio.
Q: I am surprised that the Intact share price has been going up, despite the (presumably) large claims it will have to pay due to the Alberta fires. In fact, it is now at the same level as it was before the fire broke out.
Any idea as to why the fire does not seem to have had any significant effect on the (current) share price? Thanks!
Q: Comments on Photon Control's Q1 results please.
I really like this small unique company. No debt and tons of cash which it seems to add to every quarter. I'm thinking about adding to it some more at these levels. One thing that has frustrated me; however, is the cash stock pile not doing much... just sitting there on their balance sheet.
Thanks
Q: could i please have your opinion on ceu going forward. They recently did an equity financing for 80mil.@ $3.Would this be seen as a positive for the company going forward as financial institutions take a stake in the company? looking at least 6 months out . Thanks Cal
Q: For an ETF investor with a small portfolio do you see any compelling reason to hold BOTH XIC and CDZ for the Canadian component? Or would one suffice? If so which would you prefer?
Q: I'm holding Allied Properties and RioCan REITs and they make up about 8% of my portfolio. I like the income but I'd also like some growth. Are there better alternatives in this space? What are your thoughts on the relative amount I've allocated to REITs?
Q: Would you be a buyer of HLF today? I know you prefer CLR. I currently own PBH and wondered if HLF/CLR would be good addition or would Loblaw be a better choice.
Q: If you could please comment on this U.S. company IMS Healthcare. I would greatly appreciate it. Can you classify it as tech or healthcare and how it compares to its historical data PE/PCF/PB and any other fundamental that is important to you. Would you still prefer GUD over this stock? My worry with GUD is that they do not use their cash and investors become irritated and fickle. I can benefit from IMS as it diversifies my portfolio a little more to the US.I am thinking of a 1 to 3 year hold minimum. Thank You
