Q: I am looking for some education on the impact of a loss of mortgage origination on a bank. Let's say that starting tomorrow, BMO can only find half as many people to sell mortgages to, but, all current mortgage holders renew their mortgage with them every 5 years, and keep paying their mortgages. Does it impact their P/E ratio? I'm guessing that the earnings would drop because there would not be enough new mortgage payers to compensate for those who are are almost done paying off their mortgage?
Q: As a 2-5 year investment outside North America what is your opinion of iShares Edge MSCI Min Vol EFAV ETF? I currently hold VEE and am wondering if EFAV would be a good compliment. My portfolio is pretty well balanced across sectors and market caps. Many thanks.

Q: Good afternoon:
I would appreciate your comments on a niche ETF, IPAY, as a means of tracking the growth in the electronic payments industry. Would you consider it a buy?

Q: My portfolio is based almost entirely on your balanced equity but I have two international ETFs, ZDM and ZUE. (only about 7% of the portfolio, total). I have two Canadian ETFs, ZLB (has done reasonably well, +32% in two years) and HAC (up but not really spectacular). It strikes me that I am missing an opportunity to diversify further internationally by moving the two Canadian ETFs. If you agree, can you recommend any to consider? I

Q: Hi, This company has been mentioned a few times on BNN. This company has recently been shedding its non core and non profitable printing/media business and made a few acquisitions in packaging industry.Company also pays a good dividend. In your last post, it was mentioned as a value stock. What are your current views on TCL.a? Do you believe that management's new strategy to diversify into packaging business will pay off and it makes a good candidate to add to my packaging stocks portfolio ? Thanks
Q: I like the dividend from ftn but don't really understand what I'm holding if I was to buy it. Could you give simple explanation how it works and if it's good for holding long term. By long term I mean Warren Buffet style, "for ever".

Q: I'm underweight in materials, energy, and utilities. My only exposure to these sectors comes through some total market ETFs I hold. With the current market conditions, would you view adding to these sectors as imperative or would it be more prudent to add to my tech and consumer holdings? If so, could you rank the value of the sectors to my portfolio (where should I stick my next investment first)? Please note, that I do plan to fill out these sector positions eventually and that I'm a young, growth investor with a long-term horizon.
Q: Rollins: ROL on the NYSE: notwithstanding your non-coverage of US companies, I would still appreciate your opinion on this company. Looking for growth. Would appreciate a thumbnail sketch of its fundamentals and trajectory. Thanks.
