Q: Active vs passive investing over next 12 months. I had shifted much of my USA and International exposure to low cost ETFs. With most mutual funds in that class at the time having MERs>2.0% and rising tides making it hard for them to outperform their fees. The landscape in Canada has improved for mutual funds with many companies releasing new lower MER funds or significantly dropping them on exisiting funds. With the bar for otuperforming their MER much lower now do you consider the lower fee active funds a better choice in these more volatile times? I am holding some cash and need to decide is I put it in ETFs to hit the average or pay for more active management in some well managed global and USA funds.

Q: I believe Regis could be the ultimate Covid recovery stock in some respects; however, do you perceive that they have sufficient financial strength to take full advantage? Do you see other non-airline firms best positioned for a true Covid recovery?
Q: Hi 5i,
Could I please get your opinion as to the relative growth prospects of AT vs. REAL over the next 2 years assuming that life (hopefully...)normalizes somewhat, and the reasons for your conclusions including your assessment of the foreseeable risks each faces.
Thanks!
Peter

Q: Hi Guys
I noticed that Ray Dalio had this ETF as a 7.5% weighting in his all weather portfolio, just wondering if you guys could comment on it. As they say what performed well in the last 10 years , isn't usually what performs well in the next decade.
Would there be an alternative, or would this etf suit the purpose.
Thanks !

Q: Good afternoon, I'm feeling grouchy about my TFSA today. Quite a few of my holdings are underwater. Tech is the only area that has shown me any growth. I am down 46% on XTC, down 80% on HWO, down 36% on GUD, down 6% on BCI, up 5% on DOL, and down 6% on SIS. I know I can't claim losses but is it time to dump some of these and redeploy. I don't need the cash and can be quite patient and I know my tech weightings are getting high but it seems as though that's where most of my winners are. How high would you let your tech weighting go in a TFSA that is a long term savings vehicle. Thoughts?

Q: Good morning,
Q1. Your thoughts on FAI ETF as a core holding in a RSP and/or TFSA account would be appreciated.
Q2. I currently hold in my RSP (US$) and TFSA some of the names held in the FAI ETF (AQN/BIP/PKI/BAM/EMA) and would appreciate your thoughts on each of these companies and whether or not it would make better sense in terms of risk and growth potential to simply replace each of these companies with an equivalent purchase of the FAI ETF.
Thank you.

Q: I currently have a Royal Bank fund and want to move the funds to a ETF. Can you recommend an ETF that is similar (or better!) to the RBF659? RBF659 is showing a MER at 1.03% and the Management Fee at .85%. Does this mean the yearly fees are 1.88% of my total? Thanks

Approximately 30 per cent of their mortgages are currently non performing although they have increased their month payout recently. As a holder of the fund should I be looking to divest under their proposed changes to the Declaration of Trust . Use as many credits as you feel appropriate. Thanks for you help.
