Q: Due to the impending trade war ( thanks to Donald!)and the trouble it will cause in the market, I am holding some cash in my portfolio 10%, and would also like to invest in some gold to further my safety net. Do you think this is a good idea, and if so, what golds stocks or ETF's would you recommend and what weighting?

Q: I'm down about 12% on FB. I still like the company fundamentally but it keeps dropping and it seems like every negative announcement makes it drop another 3 to 5%. Do you think I should get out? My concern is that even the company is financially strong the negative momentum and news will just drive it down to where its a huge up hill battle for me to get back what I've lost. Do you think this will drag on for years? Would a good q1 be able to turn things around or is the negative publicity too much? Thanks

Q: I'm looking for stability and a core of stocks which will help offset the volatility of growth stocks on weeks like last week. The pickings are slim, but these two offerings from Dream seem to have consistently done extremely well over the last year, and breezed through last week's turmoil without noticing it. They also seem to have amazing growth (at least in stock prices) for REITS over the last year, as well as excellent distributions. To what do you attribute this and do you expect it to continue?

Q: I am a long-term investor with the majority of equities purchases targeted to 5-10 years. Certainly, I have a few equities that are in loss positions similar to the model portfolios on 5I Research. Would you recommend using a stop loss process on all stock purchases in an entire portfolio? If so what stop loss system would you recommend for purchasing a security such as SIS? If I purchased SIS today with the intention of holding long term is there a need to utilized a stop loss system?

Q: I've read/heard various things about "Commodities" being poised to do well. When commodities are being referred to, how does this refer to specific stocks or ETFs that can be purchased on the stock market? Are we talking the commodities market, certain ETF's, gold and silver stocks, etc.?

What is your best suggestion on stocks, etf's that would benefit from this positive "commodity" outlook?
