Q: Hello,

I bought TD some time ago at 55 looking to convert to US. Unfortunately the plan didn't work (in order to sell in US you have to call the brokerage and I could not get through). Long story short the stocked dropped the next day and jut now I'm even.
My question is what do you expect when they announce the earnings?
Is it worth holding? Should I sell it in U$ and if yes do you have any US stocks that you recommend ( I know you don't follow the us market, but I think you should really start)?

Thanks
Marios

Q: Looking to get some small cap exposure in the industrial space. Two that stand out from your Growth Portfolio are PURE Tech and Dirtt Environmental Solutions, which of the two in your opinion has the better 3-5 year outlook and would you consider either as "Buys" today?

Q: Picked up a half position (300 shares) once the dividend hit 4%. I plan to hold for a few years. Hopefully I made a good decision. Would you put DH in with the financial or technology category? Also, knowing how they have re-invented themselves from a sleepy cheque printing company, how would you categorize the risk from apple pay type competition to DH corp? Or would DH corp be a beneficiary of this movement?

Q: Dear 5i,

BAM, BIP and BPY possess many of the characteristics that appeal to me. However, I found a couple of Seeking Alpha analyses that raised doubts for me. Inter alia, the analyses say that:

- BAM has an amazingly complex and constantly changing capital structure that makes the company unanalyzable and maybe vulnerable to manipulation
- an undisclosed SEC probe was found
- prior criminal exposure remains unresolved.
- BAM has a pyramidal control structure which US regulators have long frowned upon. This type of structure lets a small group of mostly hidden owners exercise control disproportionate to their investment.
- the business model involves heavy reliance on related party transactions with subsidiaries
- net income comes mostly from accounting entries rather than business activity
- the SEC has publically questioned how BAM uses investment terms and its valuation methodology

Would you invest your money in BAM, BIP or BPY? If so, in your opinion, what is the level of risk in an investment in one of these companies?

What's your current view of Arsenal Energy's survivability given the debt level and the sector environment. Would you consider it an add, sell or hold?

Q: hi peter

so i waited for the cos announcement and in it they offer nothing new but promises as usual, and mediocrity. I hope ryan kubik loses his job for the way he has handled this. I'm tendering my shares before the deadline which in reality is tomorrow. Has your view changed at all? Thanks

Q: I am looking to both reduce both my exposure in the energy infrastructure portion of my portfolio and also materialize the capital loses. Holdings consist of ENB PPL and IPL with a total sector weight of 7.8%. Current thinking is to sell PPL and IPL purchasing either TRP of KEY with half of the proceeds. Assuming my thinging is sound would you concur with keeping ENB and which of TRP of KEY would you purchase.

Q: Hi team, I am looking at telcos. I currently hold Rogers and was thinking of switching out to Telus or BCE. I am curious for your input on the metrics. On Globe Investor, Rogers metrics are less favourable than both Telus and BCE on Forward PE, Price to Book and Debt to Equity. On top of that BCE and Telus have a higher dividend yield and a better 5 year record of raising the dividend. All that being said, RCI has performed well lately, what am I missing? Why would the market pay up for RCI, why would one buy Rogers instead of BCE or Telus? rob

Q: I just sold a US stock from my TFSA and I want to redeploy the US cash in either US or Cdn funds. I'm thinking Amaya or Concordia in US dollar's. I have a half position in AYA in Cdn funds in my RRSP, I'm underweight health care and I'm looking for long term growth. Thoughts on these 2 options or would you have a 3rd option that you like better. I'm diversified and won't need access to cash for 20+ yrs
