Q: I wanted a quick opinion on the nature of these two ETF's, does ZPR hedge ZRE with interest rates? What I mean is that if interest rates rise ZPR should rise and ZRE should decline and vice versa? Looking long term the interest rate effect will balance out with growth of the companies within ZRE and ZPR should be higher with higher payouts as the preferreds reset?
Q: Hi guys,
I am debating on adding to parkland fuel or starting a new position with enbridge. Also, are they both worthy of a full position (3%)

Q: CVS has dropped significantly in recent months, and I'd appreciate it if you could explain what has been going on. What future do you see for CVS?
Q: Freehold and Pembina are my 2 largest energy sector holdings and energy is 23% of my portfolio. FRU at 6.7% and PPL at 7.9%. Surge and Whitecap are the 2 smallest holdings. SGY at 1.8% and WCP at 1.0%. Need to reduce my energy sector. Should I reduce my holdings in FRU and PPL and keep SGY and WCP or should I just sell SGY and WCP and reduce either FRU or PPL.
Appreciate your assisstance.

Q: Could you please explain why Spin Master's Q3 earnings have been higher than the aggregate of the other quarters combined? Would you anticipate this to change in Q12017 with several new products coming online for the holidays? I'm not very comfortable investing in companies like TOY, PBH and PKI due to valuation so do you think that starting with small positions in each and adding to the winners makes sense?
Q: Have been holding CLX for a while and it has done okay. Thoughts about the company moving forward and/or for the sector as a whole. Thank you.
Q: Any thoughts on this potential turn around stock?
Q: Hello I hold XSP for some US exposure but would like to increase my exposure to US market. Can you advise how much overlap there would be if i purchased VUS. Would it be better to just hold one, and do you have a preference? Thank you. Bill.

Q: Good morning,
Looking for your insights into the latest iteration of preferred shares issuances- fixed /resets with minimum floors. In the past number of years the broad market for various types of preferred shares have been negatively impacted by shocks( the perpetual market in 2013 "Taper Tantrum" / the most recent declines in fixed /resets with rates lower for longer) which for the most part, were wholly unforeseen. In terms of the newest preferred type, could you please offer your analysis on what factors could create the same problems( ie downside) for this share structure.
With thanks,
Brad

Q: Hi Peter and Team
What Canadian listed ETF would you recommend today for US market exposure for the TFSA of a thirty year old with a long term time horizon? Would your answer be any different if it was for an RRSP where the 15% US withholding tax was not an issue? There seem to be hedged and nonhedged versions of all of them so would you recommend a hedged version now with the USD so strong?
Thank you!

Q: Would any one of these companies be a good longer term investment? Your assessment is appreciated, as always!
Q: Good morning Peter, Ryan, and Team, I'm curious about 5i's "Industrial" sector classification of DH. Both TMX and Bloomberg have it in the "Technology" sector. Part of my rationale for keeping it or not would be its sector. Thanks in advance for any clarification.
Q: I am currently holding WPK after having switched to it from CCL.B a few months ago when it seemed to get a bit over valued. I just noticed that there seems to be some negative correlation on these two stocks and I don't really understand why that would be since I always thought that these companies were very similar. Can you explain this and do you think it is a good time to start getting back in to CCL.B or should I just stick with WPK. Thanks
Q: Westport Fuel Systems WPT is starting to generate some interesting #$. Your succinct and timely analysis please. Thank you.
