Q: I have a fair chunk of U.S. money in a non registered account. What would be a good investment if any for this money, taking taxes into account. So far have just been benefiting from our sliding currency. I know that we are in the late stages of the market, and really cannot afford to lose a sizeable chunk.

Q: This has been a major disaster in my portfolio. Is there any hope of recovery or should I just simply recognize that it is a dud and sell it?
Q: Dear 5i Team,
Thanks for the great service. Most of my holdings are the ones recommended by you or other conservative dividend paying stocks. This one time, I bought a small amount of KODK few months ago. The news was that KODAK was going to have its own version of bitcoin. Anyways, the stock is down 51%. Do you recommend selling it and take the loss. Also it is in my TFSA, so can't write off capital loss against capital gain.

Q: I currently hold TCN and REI in my TFSA. I am thinking of selling them and replacing with IIP.UN and CAR.UN. I am looking for income with some growth. Do you recommend this or would you leave things as is or possibly consolidate to just one? If so, which? Weighting is high - 17% for REI and 10% for TCN.
Many thanks for your great service!

Q: Hi, What are your thoughts on ECN after recent earnings?
Price is moving in the wrong direction and there seem to be little in the way of catalysts here to get the share price moving north.
Thank for your opinion.

Q: I've held Boston Pizza for a number of years. thanks to the dividend, I'm still ahead on it, but I'm beginning to wonder if it's the best consumer discretionary stock for an investor well into retirement, albeit with a reasonable pension. Health issues are beginning to have an impact on our savings. Thoughts?
Q: What do you think on the $2B joint venture deal?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Are there any public companies that will benefit from testing fees or selling the hardware.

Q: My question is about Meta - META.V, (previous name recently was NAC - National Access Cannabis Corp)
They appear to be getting a lot of rights and/or contracts to distribute cannabis throughout Canada and the stock is reacting very strongly lately on that speculative news.
With legalization occurring in mid-October this year, how do I go about valuing this company to predict a future stock price in 6 months or 1 year?
Thanks for your time and advice

Q: Could I have your opinion on this company would this pullback 10% be a good time for a half position do you think they have a long runway of growth and are they considerably cheaper than Amazon on a EPS basis thanks for professional service Greg
Q: I have a question that may be of interest to some of your subscribers who, like me, are relative novices at investment. I've been reviewing my portfolio -- specifically Payout Ratios (I'm using Morningstar data, so there may be some variance when compared to other reporting agencies). I hold the following stocks with payout ratios beginning at 130%; however, two reach into multiple hundreds. VET and AQN are not included in your model portfolios, but ENB and PKI are in the 5i Balanced portfolio; CSH.UN, ECI, and ENB, again, in the 5i Income portfolio; and CLIQ in the 5i Growth portfolio. My question, quite simply, is: Why should we not be concerned about the stability of dividends from these companies? Thanks.
Q: I was wondering if you have any insight into what's behind today's move in Goodfellow (GDL) (up 12%) on no news that I can see. I realize it's a thinly traded microcap, but it's not been doing anything for quite some time and now we see a quick price spike today.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Q: Greetings, I have a portfolio of Canadian and US stocks that is weighted about 60% in banks and insurance companies. I want to hold dividend paying stocks and am considering AQN, CU, & EMA to get more exposure to utilities (have Enbridge already) and PG for a consumer staple. Does this make sense or are their other names in the utilities and consumer sectors to consider?

Q: what happened to drop TGZ 9 % today??

Q: A few years ago you recommended using longrundata.com. This was a fantastic site. I made a lot of money by utilizing the information I could obtain from the site. It was an eazy method of finding annualized total returns and dividend increases. Longrundata is no longer in operation. A few months ago I asked you if there was a similar site that I could use. Your reply was that you would investigate to see if there was an alternative; maybe something 5i could get into.
I would be more than willing to pay an extra subscription fee if you could duplicate longrundata.com and I'm sure many of 5i's subscribers would also be interested.
Any chance of reviving this site?
Michael

Q: Is the recent downward trend in wsp a buying opportunity or a trend . I have recently bought a small position at 73.00 and am thinking of averaging down, is this a good plan for a 2 to 3 year time frame? If not should I sell and move somewhere else ?
Cheers, Doug

Q: Any reason why SHOP is dropping big today, again?
Q: This is a macroeconomic question about the oil patch. I own a property in Fort McMurray which was burnt down in the fire and is being rebuilt completing this October. Since then I have moved on, so I am not planning to go back there. If you were in my shoes would you sell now or rent it out and sell later?
