Q: Hi 5i,

I currently own DOL, ATD and PBH for Consumer Staples. I'm getting a little bored of the progress that DOL has made over the last three years and I'm looking for a little more growth.

Looking at EMP, L or MRU as a replacement. Based on today's news from I'm leaning towards EMP. Please let me know what your thoughts on this switch, or if you'd recommend another stock not mentioned.

I have a long horizon, 7+ years, and looking for some more growth.

Q: Hi Guys!
WIth the announcement made by the Trudeau and legault administration yesterday, do you see any interest why Lion would not want to venture alone without NGA tagging along? Also as mentionned by Lion officials, they will have to purchase their cells trough another party preferably a Canadian company. Would you see another partner than Ballard to be able to achieve this?

Q: I did not buy XBC because of the revenue or profit it was generating today. I bought it for future potential which leads me to ask you if the news - though bad - changes the fundamental story here or if it is still a company with huge potential that has to correct a situation and learn from it? To put it another way, is the technology and value proposition that XBC offers its clients worse today because of the adjusted numbers?

My take is that we are not at the end of the clean energy but at the beginning. Their growth rates are not what investors thought and that isn't good but if their technology and TAM are huge (and in the early innings) how is it not materially higher in 5 years? If 5i looks past the next 12 months on this and ignores the stock price is the story intact?

Your comment to another question was that you have a finger on the sell trigger which sounds to me that you fear more than just an accounting error(s). Is the fear that this is a VRX situation with imaginary sales in a systemic way?

Q: Lots of concern regarding this company and want to get an idea about how to handle the dramatic drop in share price. If you were a shareholder that bought in at say 9-10$ range would you think any differently about the company than you would if you bought in at 2-3$. I notice that when any high flyer has a hiccup, your answers are generally to "hold for now" and that the "stock is up 140% from last year". We certainly were aware of the risks with this company and should not be surprised that some investments just won't work out. It's easier to "let go" if your gains dropped back to near your purchase price than if your losses are nearer to 75%. Any lessons learned or is it still too early to give up on XBC?

Q: Hello 5i,
I am up over double on IWO which is my growth portion of my portfolio as is LSPD, and Leon's and two others (thank you very much)! Most of my 46 other stocks distributed in all sectors are value, buy and hold, which are also doing very well With the overall rotation to value should I sell my IWO take my profit and buy IWM or keep the now winning formula as is?

Q: Good afternoon - I took positions in the above several months ago, thanks to your suggestion, and all have fared quite well. However, both MG and LUN are at what appears to be their highest levels in several years while NTR enjoyed a higher valuation years back. All three have immodest P/E ratios at this time. Do you foresee additional loft to their prices or is it perhaps already time to do a bit of harvesting? Thank you.

(a) most at risk currently and
(b) great companies, even if currently expensive, that you have most conviction longer term.

Q: Hi,
Have a 1.55% position now, avg price $5.36. Had a nice double on it before but down now, which is disappointing for sure. It's closing in on that $4 price which you were concerned about breaking. What are the different scenarios you see playing out come the March 24th full release? Can you give any insight on what additional or further news could impact the stock either up or down going forward. Thanks!

Q: Hi 5I: How do you think Shaw carry on over the long term if the takeover does not go forward now that there position is stated by the CEO in his takeover announcement that Shaw needed financial help to meet the huge cost of 5G installation in order to to keep up with the much larger media companies.
