Q: Most of the time we are coming out of the recession before they even announce that we are in one.

I am currently fully invested, but I wonder whether there will be a drop once announced.

Anecdotally, I have seen a complete slow down in retail customers at my place of business. It is the slowest I have seen in over 10 years. My suppliers have also slowed considerably, so it isn't just me.

I understand it is best to stay invested and diversified and the markets will correct over time.

Questions:

So, will the markets drop if they announce that is the case and we are in a recession, or is that priced in already?

If the markets do drop once announced are there any trades / hedges / or opportunities that I should be investigating or doing some research in?

Q: thanks for the info about CASH and HSAV.......looking at the price charts for both and both are rising up to the upper left......and this makes wonder - when interest rates start to fall, will the stock prices fall for both???
also if that is the case for one or both, what are the signs that I should watch more in order to sell out???...........many thanks for the guidance.......tom

Plan to slow SFR acquisitions re interest rates & capital market.
2000 acquisitions this 1/4 plan to reduce to 850 in 4th 1/4.

Q: Another question arising from a BNN Market place broadcast. S. Takacsy was quite positive about PBL. Its share price has dropped a lot. Some matrices seem positive (low debt to equity), others not so hot....P/E over 30. What is your view of its prospects. Thanks for your excellent service.

Q: I notice that STIP and TIP have each stopped paying their previously excellent dividends. The prospect of their payouts returning, their low volatility and their low correlation with the remainder of my portfolio keep them somewhat attractive. However, can you recommend preferred stock or bond etfs (preferably with available option series) that can provide low volatility, low equity correlation and some yield?
