Q: Hi,
I'm looking for income and hopefully a little growth as well. I currently own GRT/UN.TO, CAR/UN.TO and have some of DRG/UN.TO from before the buyout. Would you be able to rate these choices in order of preference? What % weight would you recommend for this sector at the moment, and do you foresee that weighting being changed as we head into Q1 next year? These will be held in a cash account, so should I be considering the potential tax implications? Deduct as many credits as you need. Thanks for all your hard work,
Dawn

Q: Hi 5i, I do not have any real estate exposure in my portfolio or own any real estate assets. My portfolio includes a range of stocks such as SHOP, MELI, PYPL, SQ as well as BNS, DIS and BIP:UN, CNR as some examples.
It seems like there could be a lot of future growth in Atlantic Canada and I am wondering about KMP.UN. I have a small portfolio so would appreciate any suggestions you have for some real estate exposure with growth. Thank you!

Q: I wrote to you on Thursday, asking if you could recommend a couple of ETFs holding Chinese companies, one US and one CAD. I have not yet heard back from you. I also wonder if you could recommend one or two CAD REITs. I have none in my portfolio. Something that will continue to do well in a down economy is my preference.
Thank you.

I notice that when I wrote on Thursday, it said I had 65 questions, and now I have 64. But since my question was not answered, or at least, I was not notified that it was answered, this seems a bit odd.

Q: Good Morning,
Putting some cash to wok in my wife's TFSA, long term (20+) year hold. She is a buy and hold long term investor, looks at her portfolio once or twice a year type. Would you suggest ZRE or would you buy 3-4 REITS? I like the equal weighting of ZRE. It would be approx 10% weighting in her TFSA. Thanks again.

Q: In your opinion, what are the largest factors in preventing Sienna Senior Living from trading at higher multiples? Is there that much of a difference between the retirement home business and apartment reits? Apartment Reits seem to be trading at multiples in the 20s and above while, according to Scotia, SIA is trading at a 2019 FFO multiple of less than 14.

Thanks for your insight.

Q: Good Day Team,
Presently I have no REITSs in my portfolio, so hoping to add some.
What is the best step to take?
Put equal amounts in all 6 stocks listed or put in priority order with certain percentage in each. I have $5000. to invest in REITs.
Secondly, what order would you put them in, from best to the lowest.
Lastly, is there any REIT that you would change or add that may be better.
Please use extra credits as needed.
Thank You,
John G.

Q: I've held Interrent since about $8 a share and I've bought more on the way up. My average cost is about $10.50 a share. What are your thoughts on Interrent today and in the future? Do you see them as an eventual takeover target by a larger player such as Boardwalk to help diversify their portfolio or CAP Reit to get even larger?

Thanks,
Jason

Q: To maintain monthly or quarterly income during this period of uncertainty, I am planning to invest in more stable entities - namely Real Estate in Canada. My thoughts are for Apartment Rental Housing and Seniors Housing. Would appreciate your choices for the most stable as well as yield. Thank you.
