Q: There has been a lot of talk lately, especially in the US of going to negative rates. If this was ever to happen, how would this ETF do in that kind of climate. I have a hard time understanding the idea of negative rates and what would be the end result.

Q: Hi Ryan and Peter,
I have held PNE for years and years and have a cost base of $1+. I lost so much money on it that I just sort of tucked it away. Now BMO turns bullish on nat gas, Andrew McCreath says dry gas is the best and PNE has it in spades. Now today the stock is up +20%!
On one hand, it has high debt and they have never turned a profit. On the other, there is large insider ownership and they are still buying.
What is your outlook for the sector? How does this dry gas and your nat gas outlook effect PNE’s projected earnings? Would you average down here?
I was also too chicken to buy birchcliff at 60 cents but should I now get in on this space either averaging down, going with a new company or staying away all together?
Thanks guys! Keep up the great work.

Thank you

Q: Although not a question just a kudo to 5I for your recommendation to Phil on the MAW105 Global Balanced Fund. I moved 1 third of my self directed LRIF into this fund at the early beginning of Covid-19. Although it's not lighting up the heavens I am in the + column (barely). It sure is boring but that's what their selling.
Q: I thought I could rely on the earnings calendar of the TMX Money web site (tmxmoney.com), but numerous times I have found it is not complete. Example: As I write this at 8pm EST on May 5th, it does not list KXS earnings on May 6th, yet my RBC Direct Investing calendar shows KXS reporting earnings on May 6th.
In the TMX Money web site they do list whether the earnings will be released before markets open, or after markets close (good); whereas the RBC Direct Investing calendar does not tell me that information (bad).
Isn't TMX Money owned by TMX Group (that runs the TSX)? If that is the case why would their earnings calendar be so incomplete (and therefore unreliable)?
Do you know of a (free) RELIABLE web site that has an accurate earnings calendar?

Q: Your thoughts on the posted results for Alaris's Q1 and the associated 30% dividend cut? I thought the dividend cut would be harsher, so I was pleasantly surprised. Based on today's closing price, the annual dividend yield is still 12.3%. If you wanted to wait until after the Wednesday conference call to answer, that's ok.
Thanks for your help...Steve

Q: As a dividend investor with a long term hold philosophy, can you tell me which sectors are least likely to cut dividends in the next 1 - 2 years.
Q: I have observed that the price of uranium has moved up significantly and Cameco has followed nicely. I would appreciate you opinion on why the price of uranium is increasing and if you would consider Cameco a decent buy.
