Q: I am under the impression that energy may be starting to rebound with the price of oil continuing to rise, and the outlook looking better for pricing. Gas prices are also getting very high in Canada. I have holdings in ENB, ENF, and BIR. Are than any others you would recommend, in Canada or the US, or perhaps an international energy etf, that might recover very well? I can pull some cash out of ENF to avoid being sector overweight.

Thanks

Q: Could you please rank these stocks for growth assuming the sector ever improves.
Could you also do another list of just the dividend payers ranking income strength (safe and/or growing divi)

Thanks.

Q: News of RRX announcing Strategic Review Process announced today. Last time the company was in play the shares traded between $10-12 but no buyer was found. At this point in time, what are your thoughts for a reasonable takeover valuation. 8x 2018 cash flow minus debt?

Q: Looks like institutions are pulling funds out of the energy sector. Is this mainly due to the federal budget or are the millenials the new porfolio managers and do not care about investing in the energy sector.
Oil is still at $62 yet these company stock's are acting like oil is at $29
What is your opinion going forward?

Q: Hello Peter and Team,

Thanks for another year of market out performance.

I am thinking of cleaning up both RRX and HWO (which are in an non-registered account) and taking the capital losses, and consolidating the money in WCP. Can you give me the pros and cons of this switch?

Thanks for all you do.

Wes

Q: Good Day Looking at dipping my toe back into the energy sector. Please rate ARX and WCP. How strong are their balance sheets? Does 5i have a better play on energy. Or is it just to early for the energy sector?

Q: Hi, I am bit confused about my Canadian oil and gas sector performance in last month or so. crude oil prices are now at $65, but Canadian companies in this sector keep getting lower and lower. I currently have positions in ZEO, BIR, HWO, PEY, & RRX.
Has spread for Canadian oil deteriorated compared to normal levels?

Q: In reviewing 5i growth portfolio, I noticed XTC, PLI and RRX are down somewhat from the initial start price. Would you still recommend these companies and what are your general thoughts on their growth prospects? I am thinking of adding them to my RSP account with a 3-5 year time horizon.

Thanks

Q: I read/hear conflicting opinions about the price of oil from well respected analysts in the print/electronic/TV media. Some say oil sector is the next place where the money is going to flow and others say there will be a pull back sooner than later. Do you think the new highs are there to stay? What are the top 3 to 5 companies from your favourite list that have already shown improvement due to higher oil price?
Many thanks.

Q: I own the RRX and WCP in the oil space. With the discount in Canadian oil prices due to transportation limitations, I wonder if US oil stocks offer more upside. Do you agree and do you have any suggestions for US oil investments?

Q: Like most people, I'm down in the energy sector and not seeing much hope on the horizon. I hold VET, TOU and RRX. With VET I at least have a good dividend while I wait for a recovery but with TOU and RRX there is no dividend. Perhaps you think the other 2 will "bounce back" faster when there is a recovery and are worth holding anyway?

I'm inclined to keep 5% of my portfolio in energy but sell TOU and RRX and put the funds into VET or another dividend producing stock while I wait for the energy sector to recover. Does this seem like a good plan? Would having my energy funds in US companies be better?

If I do this change, do you have suggestions for Canadian or US dividend producing energy stocks? Thanks.
