Q: I just retired with no pension and living off my portfolio. I’m sitting on a lot of cash right now with very little US investments. I would like to start buying slowly. What would you suggest. Preferably ETF’s listed on the TSX with the odd US stock. Thanks

Q: Thoughts on AMWL and the IPO? Did not double or run up too crazy like some of the other recent IPOs. Thinking in 3-5 years a sub $25 purchase price may look good. I like the Google backing and the optionality with what they can do together with the Google technology and Fitbit acquisition. Any interest in this company or is TDOC the go to name?

Q: I own a considerable position in this ETF for exposure to Artificial Intelligence . It has done extremely well but seems to be levelling off . Obviously at 3x index , holding it becomes a crap shoot. UBOT may be too risky . Does it make sense to stay in the sector , or what might you recommend ?

Q: Greetings -wondering what your thoughts are on owning this s/w, h/w design company for chips versus owning the semi-conductor companies themselves. Its hard to predict who will have the next best thing, but it seems like all the companies use CDNS to help speed the design process. Your thoughts or would you prefer to pick a few key winners?

Q: In April I was contemplating between Magnite and Digital Turbine. Based on questions asked, I bouth bought. Unfortunately, I got scared out of Apps when I bought it in the $6.00 range and it quickly moved to $3.00 and sold. I still own Magnite but down 50% since I bought it. Do you still consider
Magnite has potential? Would you continue to hold if you owned it? I know you dont give advice on what to do with our stocks, but wondering what YOU would do. Thanks.

Q: Thank you for your response to my previous question. I still find the issues involved puzzling. Stating the apparently conflicting issues i) while the same store growth is expected to be modest at around 2% the overall revenue growth appears to have been closer to 20% (for 2019) and ii) while analyst share price expectations have been rising notably of late that has occurred in the face of reduced earnings expectations; according to First Call these have been declining modestly but consistently for at least the past year.
The rationale for investing in this company was at least in part based on its competence as evidenced by the share price growth and its participation in an industry sector that offered significant opportunities for growth as a result of substantial sector fragmentation, to which they appear to be willing and able to respond. I subsequently see that COLD also has substantial industry participation both in the US as well as overseas, and promotes its competence in its management and operating systems. I also see that the REIT sector is currently under pressure and, or perhaps despite, that the cost of capital should be low as a result of all time low prevailing rates of interest. The obvious question is whether the current valuation represents a significant entry opportunity for a company which is doing well but still sorting out the bugs resulting from its growing interests. I would be interested in your response.

Q: How do you view this company's prospects and current valuation? While analysts expectations appear to have been on the rise in recent weeks the price has been soggy for some while, and I cannot determine the basis for the share price appreciation seen beginning in early 2018 through Q3 2019. The company's prospects seem now in question despite apparent growth in the underlying demand for their services.

Q: If one were to take a position in SNOW, is this as good a place as any to jump in? ... around $230ish or should one wait for the steam to settle?

I read your other response, and have done a bit of due diligence, but quite frankly I'm "lost in the clouds" when it comes to these mega-techs. I know that they take a life all their own, valuations be damned, it seems and such stocks become runaways before the valuation catches up.

Would it be worth a full/half/quarter position in a well diversified portfolio. This is my "looking at the future" stock.
