Q: Any thoughts on BXP? Seems like a good entry point ish. Thankyou
Q: Which Canadian REIT would be your top pick to buy today assuming we are going into a lower rate environment?
Thank you
Thank you
Q: Issued at $25 and now trading at $12.10 for a yield of over 13%. This seems to imply there is a good chance Brookfield may walk away from these securities? Your thoughts?
Thanks
Thanks

Q: Hi Peter and Staff
Long time holder of NWH.UN as a small part of my REIT basket. Been thinking i woukd just hang on (in my RRSP so no tax loss benefit ) but reading more on AP.UN that I used to own and wondering if that would be a better albeit still risky option than NWH.UN going forward
Thanks for all you do
Dennis

Q: Hello 5i Team
Is there any "easy" way to determine if a REIT is internally/externally managed.
After reading some of the Annual Information Form (AIF) or the quarterly reports its not always evident.
Does your Bloomberg terminal provide this information?
My assumption is the majority of REITs are "internally" managed - do you have a list of "externally" managed REITsn or can point to a source?
Thanks

Q: I am woefully underexposed to the real estate sector.
Could you please identify your top 3 Canadian stocks, REITS and ETF's which one might play for the impending interest rate cuts in 2024?
Thanks
Jeff

Q: You were a bit lukewarm on BEI.UN when asked about it two months ago but I wonder if your opinion has changed a bit after their Q3 results from 9 Nov. The investment firms seemed to have liked their performance and there were a number of upgrades and/or raised targets.
Thanks as always.
Thanks as always.

Q: Now that the Fed has paused the rate hikes, is now the good time to put money in REITs. WPC:N has spun off its office properties and now holds mostly industrial properties. It is paying over 7%. Do you thing its a good choice to slowly add this REIT in the portfolio for income?
Q: Hi 5I
I have held this stock in the past. It has come well off its highs and pays a good dividend as result. Understanding that any recovery will mute the dividend, is this stock a good consideration for the healthcare sector?
Thank you
Peter

Q: Wondering is this dividend safe for the long run?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Could you please comment on their outlook. I have made big gains. Is it buy sell or hold at these levels.
Thanks,

Q: What is your current view on DEA:US? Is it likely that it's bottomed?
Would AD.un be a superior choice for growth?
Note: I realize this is a "two-fer" sort of question given the differences between the two... Thanx!

Q: Your March 2 2023 on the company seems relatively positive? But over the Summer/Fall less positive? (correct me if I have that wrong) If true, is it a reflection of real estate market/higher interest rates or execution of the company? Earnings were released on Friday, comment? If you were doing report card/ 5i Opinion today what would you change? Thanks!
Q: I would appreciate your scrutiny of this company, its current financial indebtedness. The past history of dividend growth, and is this 10% yield sustainable, also is this dividend eligible for the dividend tax credit, or is this an interest payment? Thank you for this info.
Q: Peter; Slate Office just cut their payout - could AP.UN be inline to do it too?!My wife holds AP.UN in her TFSA - no tax benefits- would you move on and into saybDIR.UN? Thanks.

Q: Hi Peter,
I'm a bit confused re: the dividend for DRI Healthcare. Your profile shows a current dividend of about 9.6% (even higher for DHT.U) but other sources such as G&M and Morningstar show it at 3.49%.
Why the difference? Please clarify.
Many thanks for your excellent service.

Q: Could you comment on DRM earnings and outlook? Thanks!
Q: I have had good success with industrial reits, having held DIR.UN for several years, and having 2 other industrial reits bought out over the years with nice profits. And then there's NXR. A more recent purchase and clearly a mistake, as it is currently the highest percentage loss in my portfolio (fortunately a small holding: only about 1% - but was about 1.5% initially). Question - do you see any hope for this one, or better to just move on now that it has shown a little strength? This is in an RSP, so the loss can't be claimed. I would like to take advantage of the current relatively high yields in some better-quality names to hopefully make my RSP a little less prone to this kind of loss.
Thank-you
