Q: Sorry to keep asking questions about GXE but there are share holders who have not received their proxy vote letter/email and the vote has to be in by Jan. 28, 2025. Is it unheard of for a company to extend (delay) a proxy vote, especially since this is a transformational vote for GXE? If it is not a crazy/unprecedented request to have a proxy vote delayed how would share holders let management know that they think share holders need more time to vote? I suppose calling GXE investor relations is a start but are there other measures that can be taken? I have been able to vote without a hitch but a friend of mine who is a GXE shareholder has not received anything via mail or email and it is already the 26 of January!!! If the vote is in favor, then GXE will be ripped apart with part of the company being sold to CVE and the remaining rump of assets being renamed Lotus Creek. Would you be in favor of holding shares in Lotus Creek since it will have only 1700 BOE of production when it starts trading.

Q: As a sector goes, I am so confused by the Canadian "utilities" over the last 5 years.
Why is it so heterogenous in performance, FTS, CU, EMA, ENB,H, TRP ? Why did ENB AND TRP seem to rebound in 2024?

Q: Hi Peter and team,
Let me set my question up with some one liners!
1. "Drill baby drill"
2. Services provided to the Americans are exempt from tariffs.
3. Canadians are not just good but excellent in Oil and Gas exploration.
So what are the Canadian companies that can "Drill baby Drill" in the States and benefit from Trumpian mantra!
Precision Drilling? Any other company?
Who are the American or the international competitors?

Q: Hello, I have held Northland for 20 years, gradually building a full position, but it is now coming back to my average cost. I understand renewables are not trendy these days, so should I 1) hold on to it, 2) add to it (no longer a full position now) or 3) let it go. FYI, I also have BEPC in renewables and EMA and FTS as utilities as well. It is part of a dividend portfolio and the div is good…Thanks!
Q: Hello. I have a small position in AQN that gets smaller all the time. It’s down 63% and it represents 0.5% of the portfolio. Do I sell and quit looking at it or should I buy more? Thanks
Q: Thoughts on OGD, would it be a good holding at current levels?
Q: Trump has said he will suspend leases for wind projects, onshore and offshore. A couple of questions in re BEPC
1. how much of BEP's projects (including those in development ) are wind
2. Of their wind projects, what proportion is in the US?
3. Given the huge ("unstoppable") demand for electrification, plus the fact Trump is not the customer buying it, does it really matter what Trump says about wind?
In short, how much damage can Trump do to my BEP stock?

Q: Good morning
I noticed today that BEPC is trading at round $36.00 and back in December it was at around $44.00 Is BEPC a good entry point today for a long term hold? Any reason for the drop?

Q: Has the outlook change (regarding Trump’s positions) ?
Q: This share holders vote for GXE is a mess. I am reading other bullboards where share holders can't seem to get the form to vote for or against the proposed partial sale of GXE to CVE. They have the chance to chose if they want to take shares or cash as if they deal has already been approved. Is two months, considering those two months included Christmas, considered a short, long, or normal length of time for a company to make an announcement of a major change and the actual vote on the proposal by share holders? This deal seems very rush and communication from gxe has been minimal.

Q: I'm looking for suggestions for stocks or ETFs that would benefit from increased investment in the north (either infrastructure-, defense- or resource-related). Do you have any suggestions of opportunities that warrant further investigation for a 'northern/artic play'? I can't help but feel that all the talk south of the border about Greenland, Canadian resources, etc. that someone will be spending substantially more in the north over the next 4 years...
Q: Your general opinion, and does SOBO have much in U.S. operations?
Q: I think we might get an opportunity to buy o&g names at a discount soon as they are already pulling back out of fear of Trump tariffs, even though oil prices have been stronger. If you could only invest in 1 or 2 oil or gas names on the pullback, with the qualifier that its not a forever hold and I'm looking for something with decent torque to the upside when political worries go away, what names would you pick? As an example I'd probably avoid CNQ since it doesn't drop as much when oil is negative, but also doesn't go up as much when oil is positive. Thx
Q: What is the biggest reason hurting the stock price? I have been adding to my holding slowly assuming that the interest rates are going down and 6% yield from the company will be better than investing in fixed income options. Your analysis please.
