Q: Hi,
Just curious. Prometic float display a number of shares of 683 781 000 which means that any 1 dollar tick will increase the value of the company by $ 683 781 000.
I show assets of 62M and liabilities of 121M
I show revenues of 4M.
I know that you will answer discounted cash flow and phase 3 trials. but in this new world of ...." I don't care about valuations type of thinking" would it make sense to really ask how high the stock value will go.

Q: I have a question about IWO. ( GROWTH PORTFOLIO). How Would you compare it to Mawer Global small cap. Which one Would you prefer ( considering taxes, fees, performance, expected return). I would like to know this in context of growth portfolio. thanks

Q: My 20 year old son has started a stock portfolio and currently holds 11 stocks and will add a few a year. We are following your balanced portfolio. He was overweight energy and sold a position today on the recent bounce. He only holds TOY in the consumer area, MX in the materials area, and SIS in industrials. We are looking at adding in one of these three areas. Any suggestions? also holds SHOP, CLS, KXS, ALA, BNS, ECN, GUD.

Q: Hi, I have been watching/reading the dialogue with other ATD.B holders today. I know you don't possess a Crystal Ball but, do you think this situation will likely present an opportunity to purchase more shares at say at $54-$55? Much depends on the market mood and thus may disregard the quality of ATD and over sell.

Q: These companies were both recently rated as a B, which seems odd. DSG has a long track record of superior earnings growth, consistent growth over many years, predictable earnings, better management, better management credibility, stable executive suite, a deeper executive suite, major barriers to entry, a niche business.... This is not to say that AVO is a bad company, just seems not be of the same quality level as DSG. Does the high DSG valuation supersede all of these other factors? Appreciate your comments.

Q: Photon Control (PHO) is up strongly today on stronger than normal volume. I couldn't find any specific statements from the company linked to this, but yesterday Lam Research, a semiconductor equipment maker that uses PHO's products, announced results that were well received by the market. Is this driving the sentiment about PHO?

Q: Hello 5i,
David Burman in the G&M today suggests selling Couche-Tard if Metro sells its shares in it. With the potential Metro/Jean Coutu merger, what if any action, and when, should investors take with their Couche-Tard holdings? For context, I own Couche-Tard, Loblaw and Northwest Company in consumer staples.

Q: Good morning,
Bearish article on Couche Tard in the Globd this morning. Berman cites Metro would dump its significant stake in ATD in order to find the Jean Coutu acquisition. Je suggests exiting the stock. I just I Have held couche tard for the better part of 18 months and stock only drifting lower.
Please comment. Is couche tard still viewed as a high conviction stock by 5i?
