Q: I would like to add to my consumer defensive. I currently have PBH and DOL at 3% each. I could add a new 3% position or add to the two above. What do you think for a 3-5 years term? If I was to add 1 company which would it be? Please give me two names if so, Looking for a balanced growth and security. Thanks for your good work.

Q: Shop is being sued by publishers accusing them of textbook piracy. How much is this weighing on the stock price now and should it be much of a concern? It is troubling that this puts a bad light on SHOP since it is reported that this concern was brought up to SHOP several times in the past with SHOP basically ignoring it.
Would like to thank 5i for having guided us through these past troubled years (and all the years outside Covid as well). Gerry

Q: These CEFs pay good dividends. Would you consider either a good investment from a Canadian point of view - with particular reference to tax liabilities inside a LIF account, or in a non-registered account?

Q: Hello 5i team:

At this particular time, which ETF do you think worth buying? US based XLE or Canadian based XEG? Is there a ETF based on Europe or the rest of the world?

Will you underweight or overweight energy in one's portfolio? I know in the US energy doesn't play a big role. But in Canadian index, they do.

Thanks in advance.

Q: Hello, earlier this year I bought tesla at $590. I have watched it rapidly grow to what I believe overvalued. I set a 15% stop loss and I sold at $1045 I'm quite happy with this transaction. Do you think Im I wrong for getting out? Should I get back in? If I made the right move, can you recommend 2 stocks that I should look at? (Take as many credits for this.)

Q: I have a position in T I have been holding for years for the dividend which was cut with more cuts on the horizon.
I plan to sell and replace with Verizon. I am thinking T will drop further in December due to tax loss harvesting. With this in mind is it better to sell it now or wait until the new year.

Q: Any idea why preferreds are collapsing the last few weeks? Some to below their recall rates of $25. I only own rate reset preferreds and the BMO fund ZPR. With the prospect of higher rates I can see why perpetuals would drop, but rate reset preferreds should benefit from higher rates. Even those with minimum resets of 5% are on the decline. Thanks.
