Q: I averaged into BGI as I purchased a 2.5% position in a RIF portfolio I'm now down 13% from the average purchase price, the dividend yield is now 9.5% do you think this is sustainable? Also do you have an opinion on why this is not doing so well compared to the other parts of Brookfield which seem to be firing on all cylinders.
Q: I want to invest 20 K USD into my TFSA portion of US stocks.
I already have FB 3.6%,SHOP 6.1%,CGNX 5.1%,AMZN 3.3%,NVDA 4.7%, SQ 4.7%.
Im thinking of buying MA & NFLX. Please provide me with an idea of 2 or 3 additonal
US stocks with growing trend like the one I mentioned in my portfolio. What is your
opinion of adding MA & NFLX in contest of my existing US portfolio.
Q: 1). What do you think of India as an investment in the next two years?
2) Which of the two efts, ZID or XID, would you choose and why?
3) Is there an alternative Foreign ETF you would prefer?
Q: Gentlemen Good Morning,
Please can you comments on BCI.
I don't have commodities on my PF, I wish to add 2%.
Any alternative to BCI ?
Thanks

In your answer to Shyam, you wrote: "In these situations, we prefer to sell the under-performing names and buy those that are performing."
In the case of KBL which is held in my wife's TFSA and in my RRIF, we are still in the black, but it has declined a lot lately, would this be a good candidate to sell from the TFSA since it's become a rather mediocre income stock?
If it is sold, what "growthier" stock in
(a) the Industrial sector might make a good replacement?
(b) any sector might make a good replacement?
Q: Only have room for one of these in my TFSA. Could you rank them?
Another question. Is there any easy way to find information on a particular investment in previous monthly ETF & Mutual Fund Updates?
Thanks again for all your help.

Q: Hi 5i team!
My companies DB plan allows us to invest in about 12 different funds (not great I know). There is no way to leave some of the funds as cash - personally I believe we are going to see a major correction or 2 over the next 1-2 years - would leaving some of my funds in a bond fund be somewhat equivalent? I was thinking of leaving up to 25% so that I can redistribute into the other funds if/when the correction really happens.
Q: Hi 5i, I know outside of Canadian stocks are not the focus but what would you think of a small investment in Tencent? I have watched it for awhile and their Wechat app is pretty awesome and from what I have read they have even more users than Facebook by a long shot. I also read they are now getting into wealth management services to add to their offerings. An opinion would be nice this would be long term hold in a TFSA. Thanks
Q: Could you please give your thoughts on ZZZ (Sleep Country) going into2018. Is this company still too expensive or do you feel that there is still good growth ahead which would justify it's premium valuation. There hasn't been much discussion about ZZZ for a while.
Thanks
Q: I'm down on my position in AMC almost from the day I bought it. Can you tell me when they report results. General views on co. And dividend payout ratio

Q: Hi, I've had some good experience experimenting with $US stocks in that I've experienced gains, but have also noticed the withholding tax on dividends in my cash account. I'm now restructuring a bit by selling off AT&T which has gained and has as well a 5%+ dividend (I'll repurchase in RRSP) and am looking at various ETFs tracking the S&P or specific sectors like banks. My question is whether any of them distribute $US cash dividends which I seek to use for travel in the US. I'm looking at ETFs like ZDY.U, HUBL.U or any others that may have come across your radar. Thank you for your excellent services, they have helped me enormously. Cheers.
Q: Air Canada shares have been one of the best performing airline stocks over the past couple of years and the company has recently posted record results for 2017. What is your outlook for the share price over the next 6 to 12 months?
Q: Good afternoon,
Can you help bring some light to the Rogers Sugar news release and halt, sounds like they are issuing 85M debt to pay off existing 60M debt and some other items I don't fully comprehend other than Mr. Market doesn't like the news and the stock is down 2% Tuesday. What are your thoughts on this development and stock drop?
Q: MAXR released earnings for the full year and debt increased to approx 3 billion due to the acquisition of DigitalGlobe. The outlook for cash flow has been increased to 300-400 million leaving a debt to cash flow ratio of 7 to 9 times. That seems high to me considering others in the same industry. Should I be concerned with this? Thanks
