Q: Good morning Peter and Team,

I track my portfolio in real-time using Google Sheets, which has the ability to "fetch" a price of a stock or ETF, but not if it's listed on the new Aequitas NEO Exchange. I was surprised when CLU.C started showing up as an error on my spreadsheet, since I didn't realize that iShares moved this ETF from the TSX to the NEO exchange. I contacted the NEO exchange and have copied their answer below in case other members could benefit from this information.

Thank you for reaching out to NEO with respect to market data on Google. Please accept my apologies for the tardy reply. Your email only just came to my attention today.

NEO has been reaching out to Google for many months with respect to making NEO market data available within their platform, but they have been less than responsive. There are no NEO fees for them to incorporate our data, but they have indicated that is not a priority for them. I encourage you to get in touch with them directly to let them know of your experience. We do have real-time data available for you on our Website and are currently reviewing what we can make available with respect to Excel functionality. Here is the link:

Hope this helps. Please feel free to reach out with any further questions. We are expecting momentum to build with more NEO listings, so hopefully Google will get things moving soon.

It would appear that there's no real way at this time to automatically "fetch" a price for a stock/ETF that's traded on the NEO exchange. I will email Google and perhaps if others do this as well, the NEO data will soon be added to the Google platform.

Q: I was wondering if you could expand on exactly what it is Tricon does. Apparently, their new deal will mean that they are primarily in the rental home business. Does this mean that they own thousands of actual stand-alone houses that they rent for the long term and earn rental and perhaps management fees on? Are these houses rent to own or does the term "house" also mean apartment buildings and/or condos? Is there a comparable Candian company that would help me to understand their business model better or is large scale home rental more applicable only to the US?

Q: Hi 5i,
The after hours trading (Feb 28th) on SRPT was ugly following their report. A big miss on expectations but they were expected to lose money and I can’t tell what the expectations themselves might have been based on. I know you may not be overly familiar, as it is a US stock, but can you help size it up? I'm wondering if it is real trouble or maybe an over-reaction opportunity once things settle down a bit. Thanks!

Q: I read your review of 2/23/17 which explains the financial fundamentals; ergo, would you consider this a good, safe, long-term buy & hold? I am thinking of buying for my wife's account. She currently holds FTS in one of her accounts. This would, by comparison, be a small holding vs the size of her total portfolios.

Q: We have been waiting and waiting for a turn around in the Oil & Gas Equipment Svcs space for awhile but no real traction has happened yet. The company keeps indicating they are seeing positive activity and pricing trends but each quarter the results don't reflect their assessment. They are now saying H1 2017 is a transition period leading to better times in H2 2017. What is your assessment of CFW's risk of running out of money or experiencing a negative credit event (i.e CCAA / Chapter 11) due to a lack of a turnaround in the Oil & Gas Equipment Svcs space and why?

Q: TD represents 6% BNS 4% and CM 2% of my portfolio with no other banks.
I am considering switching BNS and CM to RY or should I go with ZBK for direct exposure to the US. Objective is growth. Should i increase my financial exposure? Add insurance Co or stick with banks?

Q: Hello 5i team,
Your article on hedging for a market downturn is quite timely; thank you.
A 5% or 10% correction is not too worrisome as it could be recovered in a relatively short period of time.
I do not foresee a "black swan" event; do you? In my opinion, the current steepness of the yield curve does not signal the eventuality of such an event.
