Q: I have small positions in sis and csh.un and I am looking to add comparable positions in real estate that has a focus outside of Canada. Would you recommend either Nwh.un or hlp.u with regards safety of dividend with moderate capital appreciation and your reasoning? Thanx.

Q: Can you give me your thoughts on the following 3 companies, PPL, ALA, ENF, do you think this a good time to add 5% position for each of these 3. I currently hold KWH.UN (5%), BCE (5%), BEP.UN (5%), ZDV (25%), ZPR (35%), and ZRE (25%), I am up currently up 26% on ZPR, thinking of reducing my exposure to ZPR znd add these 3 names.

Q: Hi, Both Cirus Energy and Altus Group have moved up nicely 5-6%, since addition to your portfolios. I guess, I should have added to my portfolio at the same time, instead of hoping for a lower entry point. Are these companies still a good buy at current levels ? How have been these co's earning trends in past (surprises, lumpiness) and is it worth waiting to buy around earnings ? Thanks

Q: Hello Peter, Ryan and team:

In the current political/rate increase climate what is a good % in terms of asset allocation for Bonds for a 60+ year old couple who are medium risk takers. Further more inside the bonds what should be % for Short term/medium term, Corporate and high yield bonds. I understand it is not a good idea to hold Long term bonds though Vanguard has just released several ETFs incl Long bond ETF! When the experts on BNN or in Business pages talk about "cash" position 30% etc., I presume they mean cash/GICs and Bonds?

Q: mnd has had a fair amount of insider selling by a few insiders , besides gmt, from november thru january, I can understand if options are exercised or other reasons but this seems a bit above the norm to me and makes me wonder if something is wrong here. mnd does not seem to participate in the gold rallies. No insiders have stepped in to buy at these levels. Have you heard any thing that may account for the selling and under performance? Do you still like the company? I am considering a purchase here to maybe a 2% equity weighting.

Q: I don't wish to belabor the points that have been brought up on the ala sub receipts.I bought half a position in ala, I sold some of my Box.un,and my plan was to wait to see what happens with the offer before I sell the rest. Looking at the price difference between the common shares and subs, I am tempted to buy some more of the ala subs now. Just trying to get my head around the pro's and cons. I understand that the shares held in escrow will probably get about 2% interest, creating a shortfall that will need to be paid from escrow funds, maybe around $.10 a share per month.One of the fellows said that if the deal falls through, the sibs will get back $ 31, what if there is not enough money in escrow to pay this, will ala pay out the shortfall.One last thing, someone said that this may not close for over a year, if so, does that mean that the escrow shares will need to pay out the shortfall of the dividends?, if so it could well be over a $ 1.00.Sorry for this being so long winded, but do I have the "facts" right

Q: My question relates to your insights on sector performance. Consider WLKP (Westlake) CINR (Ciner) BAK (Braskem) (these are 3 US stocks) and MX (Methanex) (Canadian) , which might be characterized as base chemicals. What view do you have on this sectors performance, or individual performance?

Q: Why do pipelines, such as PPL, ENB and ENF, have been sold off so aggressively in the last while? Any particular reasons? Since Keystone XL has been revived would it not give the pipeline sector a boost?
