Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: A further comment on the subscription rate increase. I think the rate is still low and an exceptional value. I have only been a member for 2 months and already have received much more value than from a year's worth of various investment newsletters to which I subscribed in the past. I was only a member for about a month when I realized I better lock in the 2 year renewal rate. The Q&A feature is fabulous and unlike any other service I have seen. I doubt I will be able to use all my credits as another subscriber oftentimes beats me to the punch with a timely question on earnings or changing circumstances on an equity.
Thanks again,
dave

Q: GMP, which has been drifting lower on generally weak news and earnings has, for the past two days, been up significantly. I can't find any news either on their website or from the internet generally. Would appreciate any info you might have in this regard, as well as your current opinion and outlook for this company. Thanks.

Q: I presently hold ENF in an income portfolio. And before I make any change I would just like to verify my understanding of what I read yesterday. I take it that you would favour ALA over ENF for income. Here is the quote from yesterday's Q&A's comparing ENF to ALA:
"We would prefer ALA, for its dividend growth potential and expected growth from its acquisition strategy. We would not be too concerned on either dividend, but would consider ALA also a bit safer. It raised its dividend in October."
