Q: I have an oversized position in Alphabet. Could you offer some alternatives, yet staying in the similar tech industry, and whose prices seem reasonably priced.

A question dated July 23 had this portion of an analyst's opinion on PBH:


Assuming that 1) the Distribution Group is sold at a reasonable valuation and 2) the "new" PBH is re-rated back up to a trading range of 12-13x (i.e., historical ten-year average is ~12.5x; we are using 9.0x to derive our June 2026 target price of $140), we think that a hypothetical divestiture and subsequent debt repayment implies a share price anywhere between $205 to $225 at the end of 2026, ~50-60% above our current $140 target.

Does this defy logic, gravity or both? Can a stock that has been dead money for more than 5 years more than double in a year and a half? The $140 target seems optimistic, but over $200 is mind boggling.

Q: A question of how to take profits on a stock that’s has run up. If a stock has run up 80% for example, do I take the initial cost base off the table or do I take the profit off the table to redeploy. Idea is to keep the stock in play but also take either/or and reinvest it

Q: I must admit that I know nothing about crypto and have no intention of investing in that field. My question concerns the stablecoin 'GENIUS Act' signed into law by the U.S. government yesterday. Will it be beneficial for the U.S. economy or the U.S. dollar, and could it have any impact on the Canadian economy? Thank you

Q: Hi,

With the passing of new crypto legislation and the rise of ETH and stable coins, what do you think is the best way to play this and does it have long term growth potential? Also what are the big risks? Looking for a pick and shovels name. Now that the legislation has been passed, is this more sell the news?

In the crypto space, I'm only holding GLXY (4%), which I'm up 75% and has done very well. I also have core long term holdings in V, JPM, and MA. Could stable coins hurt or benefit these names as well or are they complementary? Been watching CRCL, HOOD and COIN as well but they've been on a tear and I'm hesitant to buy at these levels. Thanks!

Q: Given we may have seen the worst of the tariffs, is now a time to start buying CNN? Given the lower guidance provided today, there may be an opportunity to purchase sharers at a lower price. Q: What do you do about a stock like DRX? It has signed a nice contract which has caused the stock to pop 20%. Looking back to 2024, the stock had a nice run, got hit by tariff news and was trending down 9 months and now its getting its mojo back. The downtrend has broken to the upside now and fundamentals have turned positive. What are your thoughts going forward and do you see an investor re-entering the stock?

In general, when you see a company like this rocket higher, get dragged down by fundamentals/external factors (tariffs, etc) and now are recovering, how do you approach these kind of situations? Would you be a buyer again now and do you see the stock heading back up to its old highs? Thanks!
