Q: I have a 5.5% weighting in my portfolio. About 130% gain in a non-registered account. The economy is ground to a halt abruptly probably for quite a few months if not years. I wonder if it is a good time to trim down, bite the bullet and pay the capital gains tax at the high marginal tax rate and buy back to full position when it reaches the bottom? or grin and bear some near term volatility, stick with it for the long term as the economy will be back in a year or two?

Q: Jacques asked about finding better brokers than RBC . I too ...as in another answer from another member...use TD and BMO Investorline...for self investing. BOTH have been very good so far after 6 years of self investing. If there is the odd issue it is corrected very quickly...so far.

Q: Hello team,

Would you invest in GC today? What weight would you give it? Half or full, now that things seems to be moving ahead? What is their debt level? Do they have enough cash to make it through the closure period? Would their balance sheet and support from Brookfiled (if I am not mistaken) let you sleep at night?
