Q: The company has set a release date of earnings as of March 25th. That is more than a month past the normal date.
What maybe causing the delay? This release has the stock down 7 %.

Q: Can you please recommend where to safely park CAD and USD; with the highest yield? I have been using CASH.TO (Yield 2.33% as of February 20) or CBIL.TO (Y 2.42%) for CAD and UBIL.U.TO (Y 4.08%) for USD.
Our BNS portfolio manager recently put some cash into the following mutual funds:
BNS Investment Savings Account Series F U$(DYN6005:CA)
BNS INVESTMENT SAVINGS ACCOUNT SR F (6004). Can you please tell me how frequently the latter two savings accounts pay out interest and what is the current yield for each? I could not find any information online for these BNS savings mutual funds.

Q: I need some consumer discretionary for my RRIF. I want to minimize market surprises so I've chosen these two. Both have great dividend history and OK 5 year CAGR. The RIF is not my primary source of income but I do find dividends to be a help when getting over rough patches. Which would you choose for a long term hold. Or perhaps both? Any other choices? Q: What option would you suggest to pursue to gain additional exposure to technology within a portfolio? I currently only own QQQ in USD registered account.

1) just add more to QQQ at the current exchange rate
2) diversify and add XIT
3) diversify and add both XIT and CSU at 50/50 (understanding XIT owns approximately 23% of CSU already)
4) none of the above, try an alternative (e.g. QQQM)

Q: I am retired and investing for income. I have recently been learning what I can of split corportions. I came across Ninepoint's Large Cap split corp. It is not very old and all I can find so far is flashy sales but not much detail.

Please provide your thoughts on Ninepoint Patners management and comment on NPS specifically.

Are APP and CRWD becoming a buy here, although we may drift a little lower on sentiment? Anything you like or don’t on them in the current state?

I wasn't so much asking about my own strategy, but whether you think such a strategy (moving some money out of tech and into the broader market) is a good move in the current climate.

NVDA and GOOG are part of the same theme. Do you think these are winners to be held on to, or whether trimming a bit to put in the broader market would be wise?


Question: Given that the market is broadening out and that I would like my portfolio to follow suit, I am thinking of switching half of my money in XUU, a market-cap weighted fund which makes up about 10% of my portfolio, to EQL, an S&P equal-weighted fund.

What would your opinion be on that?

Also, along the same line of thought, I'm considering trimming NVDIA and GOOG although the mere mention of it has my investing friends screaming "NO!". They understand the sentiment but think it's not the right time.

Answer: We think XUU is a solid fund, but if diversiifcation is a goal then we think EQL makes good sense. For example, XUU currently is about 42% tech. EQL is barely at 10%.
