Q: Hi Peter, Not sure what is going on? It is down 25% now for today? Reading your commentary does not look it is a bad buy at this point. I own 50% at $88 and rest at $65. Not sure if I step in and by some more now(for 5 years hold)? What is its next year PE with this price point? Also do you think financing and the merger both are 'done deal'? Can you please also do a little fundamental analysis on this for us?

Q: Michael Hainsworth made an allusion this afternoon on BNN's Market Call that Concordia will be meeting with potential lenders on October 1, in NY. I can't seem to find anything on this item, including CXR's own website. How does this figure into the greater scheme of things at CXR?

Is your advice, overall, to "hold" on this stock? I was in at $49, with a full position, so the stock is still "up" for me, at this point .... but who knows for how long?

Thanks for your help.

Q: In a registered account, what do you think about a switch from CPG into WCP? I already have a little WCP in non-registered accounts, but very little oil/gas stocks overall (fortunately!)

Q: Teck is down another 8% today and I'm showing a 4.6% yield. Is it time to start easing in to a 1/2 position here? I have no other mining names and half position would be less than 2% of portfolio.

Q: Interested in making a small investment in a small gold company such as Lake Shore Gold. You had quite positive things to say about it back in May and was hoping you could provide an update as to it's prospects for the next year or so. Thx!

Q: I see in this article from the Globe
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/report-/national-bank-to-crack-down-on-conflict-of-interest-trading/article26555169/%3bjsessionid=hJT9WJyQ77z18hQ2MV7ncJK7kDtSwB81KJWy7cLypqQTQfFh2JDc!1889603102/?ts=150928082500&ord=1
That the National Bank plans to reach your level of "conflict free" advice by not allowing trading by staff.
Nice to see others reaching for the bar you have set!

Q: Hi Gang

I am presently overweight in Financials. I hold BNS, TD, SLF and BNS. Of these, my BNS has been the weak sister in the past 2 years. I am thinking of selling my BNS because it will trigger the lowest capital gains, and with the proceeds purchase DH. My thoughts are this will keep me in the "area" of banking, but also improve my diversification since I am much lower in the Tech area . I realize I will sacrifice some dividend income, but am prepared to do that if my overall reasoning is logical. I am aware BNS is supported by you, but so is DH.

Your thoughts please.

Thanks

Q: For someone about to retire, would you recommend FTS or EMA? Yield is important, but so is some growth, especially when interest rates start to increase, resulting in bonds competing with dividend stocks in income portfolios. Do either of these stocks have any exposure to increased regulation of coal-fired generation?
Thanks

Q: Hello 5i,

Good morning. I'm looking to add to positions primarily within the small cap/growth porfolio. What companies does your research suggest are great buying opportunities right now? My investment objective is to maximize returns over 20+ years and I'm looking for your 8 highest conviction names primarily within the growth portfolio (or balanced portfolio if there is a particularly great opportunity)

I'm not interested in a diversified list, but rather what 8 names present the best risk/return metrics over the long term with attractive entry points right now. I already own Stantec and Home Capital Group as core holdings and have no problem holding stocks that have under-performed provided the fundamentals are still intact. Thank you!
