Q: Many are feeling the market is high. Certainly, we can't expect another year of 20% growth.

I'm interested in a strategy of maintaining those gains. Does that mean pulling money out of stocks that seem overgrown, or does it mean investing new money into areas that have not been part of the recent rise.

What sectors do you think these are? I nominate well-known companies (especially tech and giants like Costco) as overgrown even if they are good companies, and energy and small cap as part of the second group.

How does this compare with your thinking?

Q: Pizza Pizza and Boston Pizza's price history and dividend payouts seem to have been reasonably stable for more than one year. I know you prefer AW.UN but are the other two ok for income? QSR looks too pricey and has a low dividend. What do you recommend?

Q: I have owned this pref for some time...I find it difficult to find info on US PFD"s...my question is do these have a reset feature like CDN Pfd's and similar call features or should one just consider them perpetual pfd's...many thanks

Q: Happy New Year! Looking for some direction on Cineplex. I've held about 2000 shares since 2009 with an average cost of $23.00. I missed selling it off when the pandemic hit and am wondering if I should continue holding out hope it might come back to levels close to $20.00, or should I cut my losses? I don't have any gains to be offset by taking a loss right now. I am planning to retire within the next two years. Thank-you.

Q: Are there any broad US market ETF's that I can buy in Canadian dollars that will be neutral to whether the Canadian dollar goes up or down vs the US. I am worried that if I convert too much money to USD at the current rate, it might backfire on me if our dollar somehow rallies, (which seems unlikely right now, but who knows)

Q: I currently hold the following securities in my TFSA:
AMD - 8.89 %
BAM - 7.76 %
BN - 12.99 %
CROX - 12.59 %
GSY - 16.11 %
IFC - 9.07 %
LMN - 12.16 %
TFII - 9.78 %
TOI - 8.86 %

In 2024 I added IFC and TFII to the portfolio. Thank you.
AMD is the only holding in the red. What is your opinion on AMD's future prospects?
