Q: Is this company worth holding onto?
Q: Bank of Canada just raised the key rate to 1.75% and drops its pledge to move gradually. What's Mr. Poloz seeing that the rest of us are missing because the TSX is singing a much different tune? I hope it's not the part time jobs from the recent elections in Ont, Que & NB. We're a little removed from what's happening in Central Canada but I can safely say the Alberta economy is not running at full capacity. In fact one of the largest land developers in Calgary just recently let go 40 office workers.
It's not the first time the BoC has been offside and had to reverse course. They seem to focus too much on a few key data points and ignore the economy as a whole.

Q: Not sure this is for this Q & A but as i started looking at my capital gains and losses for tax loss selling, I am not sure how stock splits are handled. For example, can you walk through how 100 shares of EFN split with ECN how to calculate my adjust cost base. My trading platform shows the adjusted cost base but for the life of me i cannot figure out how they came up with the number.
Q: What is the consensus for Q3 revenue, adjusted EBITDA and adjusted eps?

During the seminar he mentioned a company whose name sounded like AMARANA. Could you provide me with its proper name please. I would also like to get a print out of the slides used during the presentation. How do I do this. Thank Mike you.
Q: Why are these 2 up on a day that everything is down, I would have thought that with the BoC interest hike they would be effected negatively. Thanks
Q: Good afternoon folks:
Is this a healthy correction plus tax loss selling as well? Could u please give your opinion on what retail investors should do in this volatile environment?

Q: For an infrastructure play, which would you prefer or do you have other suggestions? I was considering Brookfield Infrastructure as a one-stop shop but I have reservations about the Brazil exposure. Thanks.
Q: I know DUG has had its negative issues but the death spiral down shows no end in sight. For all their problems they seem to have solid revenue and I didn't see bankruptcy on the radar but the price action seems to suggest some are worried. If I wait this out and the next few quarters shows a pulse I would think there is tremendous upside from here. Or would you suggest I cut my losses and sell under the "hope is not a strategy" principle.
