Q: I have a room for ONE of these in my TFSA. GIB multiyear growth profile seems tantalizing and the valuation looks good recently. However, in my view with recent changes in company TRI has just started to warm up.

Q: I have been following your advice of slow buying. For recovery plays with a one to 3 year timeframe (US election and possible normalcy returning post-COVID) is Canada or US better positioned? If all things are equal I favour Canada to avoid the nuisance of Norbert's Gambit etc. But if there is a compelling difference I'd like to use that to my advantage. I have some XIT, AC, SU and LNF and I am finding it hard to wait for the slow buying due to FOMO. How slow is slow enough? Thoughts appreciated.

Wondering what your thoughts are on food service or food provider companies? Their exposure is fairly broad (across both Canada and the US). Stock price will presumably fluctuate with opening decisions. If you had a choice of the two, which one? Thanks.

Q: Given the extremely large Fairfax/Hamblin Watsa presence in ATCO (aka "Seaspan") and its seemingly "o.k." numbers, is it a worthwhile position for Income? How does it stack up against SFL:us and CMRE:us in this respect?

Q: I have owned a full position in AW since the early 2000's, first in my daughters TFSA and now in my RRSP. I like to tell my daughter that Teen Burgers paid for her university! My Question is, how much value to you feel would be added to the share price when and if the dividend is reinstated? Any thoughts on when that might happen and would it likely be added back at the same level as previously? I am contemplating a switch to QSR but I feel like I might miss a nice pop in AW.

Q: Within the context of tax loss harvesting, what would be good proxies for the following stocks: NFI, SIS, and VET. And can you assign an estimated "beta score" for the proxies. i.e. 1.0 should have very similar performance.
Also, with a year like this, should we expect heavy tax loss selling towards the end of the year?

Q: I’d like your opinion on where certain BP holdings would be best placed in TFSA as opposed to a cash account, and if it makes sense to shift low growth stocks to the registered account and higher growth to a TFSA.

I’d like to transfer approx 3 stocks (lower growth/dividend payers -PBH, ENB, SIS from my TFSA into the cash account in December. In January I plan on transferring the same value amount back(higher growth/lower DIVS - CSU,ATD,BYD, KL plus $6000 into The cash account.

Would this be in line with TFSA rules and would it be beneficial to me to do? And what account would you buy NFI In? Still waiting on better momentum before repurchasing.

Q: I have done a little research on present prospects and my feeling is there should be some improvement ahead. I bought it in the mid teens and have held it because of the good dividend. My question is should I hold

Q: You have said in previous answers that you view most analyst price targets with significant skepticism. Earlier this year TD started to include analyst price targets along with the analyst's TipRanks ranking out of 6,700 analysts. Per TipRanks, the ranking is based on the win-loss ratio of the analyst; the average return of each rating; and consistency of the analyst's performance over time.
For example, on Monday, Brent Bracelin of Piper Sandler, who happens to be ranked #1, gave SHOP a target price of $1144. Today, Mark Mahaney of RBC, rank 121, gave SHOP a target price of $1357.
What is your opinion of TipRanks? Would you consider analysts in the top 1, 5 or 10% worth paying attention to as part of a decision-making process?

Q: Shopify got an immediate boost from the announcement of its partnership with Walmart. It sounds like the two are vying to compete with Amazon, selling third party goods on the Walmart website. I had been thinking that the best way to play this for a more conservative investor would be to buy Walmart's more reasonable valuation. Interestingly, the deal did little or nothing for Walmart's stock. Is the deal insignificant from Walmart's perspective?

Q: I'm looking for a US or Canadian company to compliment American Towers and semiconductor stock, like Qualcomm because of the 5G theme. Wondering if there is a quality company with growth potential that would complement the existing positions that you would suggest I consider
