Q: Would you revise your opinion of this etf? On October 3, 2016, 5i wrote, "We note that 15 years ago the share price was more than $26, and capital distributions will continually lower NAV over time."

While share price is still only $17, it is paying nearly 10% dividend consistently since 1999 and the share price has increased 40% since the advice was given. I like that it holds mainly U.S. banks. Thank you for your opinion.

Q: HI 5iResearch, Kinaxis postponed their Investor Conference call to August 8, 2017 to report 2nd quarter earnings to June 30, 2017. Do you know what the 2nd quarter earnings were, and would the valuation today provide a good opportunity to purchase this stock for 3-5 year hold? What do you think of long term prospects vs competitors and ease of access into supply chain management?

Q: I'm curious about the recent stock option grant approval (> 3 mil shares @.36) for OG employees and how that might influence the stock price in the short term? Yesterday it dropped down to .335, I assume on this news. I think it a positive move for staff to feel invested in the growth and evolution of this young company. Just curious about how that might affect stock prices in the short term and any other thoughts you have about this organization?

I know you do not generally favour averaging down. If I was to top up one of the 3 below to small weighting ignoring sector allocation,please rank them, best to worst to average down on at present

Q: Hello Peter.......... I have a question about 1228

Could you please comment on Gluskin Sheff about it's suitability for a 2% position in an retirement income portfolio. I have larger positions in BNS, and in CM.

Is the payout ratio reasonable and is the dividend sustainable and do they carry a lot of debt?

It doesn't seem to have done anything except drift further down since the legal settlement and you had said you expected a pop of as much as $3 or $4! Am I missing something?

Are there other Financials that you would prefer with similar dividends? How about Olympia OLY, or TF?

Q: From the growth portfolio do you see any upside on the horizon for these 4 names, I have a large amount of small stock holdings that are under .05% of my portfolio value hence trying to sell some off and pick just 4 names to clean things up, I will still maintain a well diversified portfolio even after clearing out the low percentage stocks.
Are there 4 others names you would suggest if not the above.

Q: My real estate exposure consists of CAR.UN. To increase diversity I am considering selling CAR and buying RIT. The MER is on the high side but the short and long term performance, relative to other REIT ETFs or mutual funds, seems justified. Volatility is also relatively low. What is your opinion on my plan and on RIT as a long term hold? Are there any other mutual Funds or ETFs I should consider. The percentage of my portfolio devoted to REITs is not high enough to obtain the diversity I seek by direct investments. I also do not wish to increase my security count by 3 or 4.

Q: Good morning, If I sell ZWH, VGG and VIG in taxable accounts and replace with ZWA and VGH (both hedged and in Cdn dollars), will this trigger the disallowed tax loss? i.e. are they too similar to replace within 30 days? If so what would be a better solution? What would be your suggestion for US representation at this time?
