Q: As between the two Canadian Dividend Equity ETFs - XDV and ZDV - which one would be your choice? Or would it make sense to have exposure to both?

Q: Dividend payers have been beat down lately. What would be your suggestion for a low cost CDN etf for dividend paying companies?
Q: You have described XDV as a high dividend payer vs a dividend grower. I prefer to take the higher dividend now rather than later. Can you tell me if the etf earns all of the dividend paid or is there a return of capital factor. In addition, you don't like the high financial sector weighting. In a rising interest rate environment could the overweighting be a positive? Thank you 5i.

Q: Hello 5i,
I would like to hear your suggestions on what the 2 best choices are for Dividend paying ETF's from the list above or any others I didn't mention. One for CAD and one for USA (on the TSX). I would want to keep these for 10-15 years or even into my retirement if returns continue to make it worth it.
Thank you kindly,
Paul

Q: Hi great team!
Know you do not cover US stocks specifically but you may be able to assist me.
I have a 4 yr. old grandson leaving in the US. His Mom would like to have me help her start a long term saving investment plan along the lines of the "Lazy Investor", with mthly contributions ( not too large) in preparation for his future education.
Would you have any suggestions as to the stocks she should invest in,those having a DRIP and OCP and with good history of dividends. This would be done in the US so no complications re Canada.
Many thanks for this and all the great work you do for us!

Q: Hi 5i. In April of 2015, you discussed Cdn Dividend ETF's, and suggested that because CDZ (iShares Cdn Div Aristocrats) focused on Co's that regularly increase dividends, that it outperforms other Cdn. Div. ETF's, particularly over the long term.
Do you still consider this view to be valid, particularly as it compares to XDV (iShares Cdn. Select Div. ETF) and ZDV (BMO Cdn. Div. ETF). Thanks T.

Q: Over the past few months ZLB is no longer outperforming the others. I would like to pool these funds, add some cash to bring it to 5% of my holdings and invest it into a good conservative ETF. Please comment. Thank you.
