Q: Hi - as the US has been a stronger market for the last couple of years, a large portion of my portfolio is USD. With the recent economic turmoil in the US and the resultant effect on their dollar, would you consider holding some ETF's in currencies such as the British Pound, Euro and Canadian dollar? My portfolio is heavily weighted in cash, as I hope to be able to wait on the sidelines till we see a buyable bottom, vs get whipsawed based on the latest idea from the 'Village Idiot'. As always, I welcome you thoughts!

Q: Retired, dividend-income investor, with mostly a blue chip, buy-and-hold-strategy and trims-adds when dictated by asset allocation.
Technology has been taking it on the chin, to say the least. My proxy for this sector is XIT. When the dust settles, I'd like to top up my tech sector by adding to XIT.
My 2 options are:
#1 = sell NTR in my RRSP and direct the proceeds to XIT.
#2 = trim NNRG in my TFSA and direct proceeds to XIT.
So, the question is....which do you think has more upside over the next period of time....NTR or XIT or NNRG? Please rank these 3 for upside.
My current thinking is to go with Option #1.
Thanks for your help....Steve

Q: I wonder about how the stop loss strategy fares in these market swings.
I always envied the fact that it protects the investor from down drafts and it cuts possible big losses.
So I wonder if a portfolio is exclusively structured in that way, does the majority of position gets sold off and the result is a sudden load of cash waiting to get back in the market.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks for your terrific expertise and support

Q: Hi Team,
With these uncertain times and some talk of cutbacks in data centre investment I was considering selling 50% of my Nvda investment and buying Csu and Srad with the proceeds. My timeframe is 10yrs or so. Would you consider this advisable or should I hold out and hope nvda gets its mojo back?
Thanks,
Shane

Q: Hello Team,
I read your comments regarding Magna and your decision to downgrade it to a sell for the obvious trade war reason but also other ones. Do you place LNR in the same basket?
During these difficult times for Canada and our leading companies I appreciate your insight more than ever.
Thank you,
Adel.

Q: For a long-term buy and hold in a growth-oriented TFSA account, which of these two stocks do you see makes more sense? A brief explanation of why would also be helpful.
Thanks

Q: I currently owned IFC and EQB. Would it be better to sell IFC and buy X for the long term, this would be more than 10years?
Q: Is EQB a buy now? It was suggested that if if fell below $100.00 that this would be a good time to buy. I currently own some and wonder if I should buy more ?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Why has Celestica lost 50 percent since February?

Q: Morning Troops. Apologies if this question has been asked and answered previously. As a newly minted senior, I am not overly concerned yet about the market sell-off and as old habits die hard, I am looking to add to my portfolio. Assuming tariffs will be with us until the stable genius to the south needs to start playing nice before the mid terms, do you think the markets will find a bottom and then trade sideways for a while, or do you see major moves down and then up? My own opinion is that tariffs will be with us for six to twelve months. Cheers.
Q: What’s an ideal price range to initiate a position in these stocks? The goal is to start with a 1/4 initial investment..
Q: How exposed are SHOP and CLS to US tariffs? In the case of SHOP, what proportion of transactions are cross-border? For CLS, where are its manufacturing plants located. Overall, how do you view their perspectives today versus what they were pre-liberation day? Thanks.
