Q: Ontario Teacher's Pension Fund is increasing it's stake in French funeral firm OGF SA. Does this have any implications for Parklawn in terms of it becoming a takeover target?
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: SHOP has been steadily increasing since November. Their reporting date is Wednesday apparently. Any concerns? Might their bubble burst?
Q: In your update today you noted the last quarter had "adjusted EPS of $0.02". The company reported EPS losses of $0.04 for both basic and diluted. Pls explain how the adjustments are calculated.
The company posted a loss of $2.7 million - a big increase from the loss of $1.5 million in Q1 2019. Pls advise what make that a "good quarter"
Thanks

Q: TFI International has indicated it will be offering 6 million shares for public offer.
Am I correct in assuming it will be at a discount to current market price which will put some short term downward pressure on the stock price?
If this is correct would it be prudent to sell now before the price is announced and buy back in when the "expected" downward pressure comes into play?
Thanks
John

Q: I own both parkland pki and pbh. would you switch from pki to atd.b at this juncture or perhaps add to pki?
Also would you suggest an alternative pick to pbh.
I am also looking at buying irdm but would like your opinion please.
Thank you.

Q: Can you please comment on this fund.. Performance over the past 12-15 months has slipped from its long term averages, and ,according to Morningstar, has been in the bottom quartile of comparable funds.over this period. Based on its holdings and asset mix and performance would you continue to hold this fund? What would be your rationale for your recommendation. If you think that the fund should be sold what would be a good replacement. I currently have a position in the Mawer Global balanced fund so would be looking for another name, Thanks.

Vanguard S&P 500 Index ETF (CAD-hedged) (VSP)
Q: Peter, I hold these S&P hedged ETF's in different portfolios. The total fees for HXS are about twice that of XSP and VSP probably due to the swaps. When I look at the performance of these ETF's, XSP and VSP are almost identical, but HXS sometimes lags and sometimes outperforms the other two. I am not sure why that is, can you comment. Due to the higher fees on HXS, does it makes sense to own this ETF in a registered account?
Q: Anything to account for the move (decent gain on good volume) by QST? Do you know when they next report?

Q: Hi, I previously asked about PH&N Global Equity Segregated Fund to which you used the F Series as a proxy, and felt it was a good fund. How would you compare this to the Black Rock US Eq Index Segregated Fund (Reg)? Both are offered through Sunlife and have a similar 5 yr return of 12.5% - 13.0%. If it helps, it says the 'underlying fund' is BlackRock CDN US Equity Index Non-Taxable, Class D. The 'underlying fund' for the PH&N fund is Phillips, Hager & North Global Equity Fund, Series O.
Thanks

Q: What is the best way to invest in physical gold without actually buying a brick and having to store it? i.e. is there a mutual fund and how does doing this investing strategy compare with investing in a streamer like FNV?
Thank you.
Thank you.
Q: Hi 5i,
What do you think of WBA? Good value or value trap? I was thinking that I could collect the dividends while waiting for the turn around...as long as there will be a turn around! :)
TIA!
