Q: Evertz has reported and looks better than the last quarter. What information can you parse from this Q release to help a shareholder looking forward? Will you be listening to the call and, if so, could you report on what you hear?
Q: Thoughts on Evertz latest quarter and future prospects. I see they declared an .18 dividend so I presume the divvy should be reasonably safe going forward.
Thanks and Happy Holidays to the 5i team.

Q: DND just announced the purchase of Doprocess software from Omers for 530 million. I am a lawyer and this price of software which essentially saves real estate lawyers a bit of time to paper house deals seems extremely high and they basically admit that in their press release. Omers must be pinching themselves at their good fortune and it just reinforces my view that the Omers team is top notch. If this is an indication of the management of DND then this stock is grossly overpriced.
Q: I do not hold any Reits in my portfolio at this time and would like to add one or two. Can I please have your recommendation on your two preferred Canadian Reits. Thank You.

Q: I have a DOY balanced portfolio (Alpha-Balanced for guidance) , with less than 10 year timeframe.
I’m underweight communication services, and energy. Not a fan at this stage of oil or precious metals. Overweight in industrials and technology.
My concern is with my overweight in technology. Reading a number of opinion articles that refer to the tech boom as another dot.com. The reply often is oh but this is different.
Here’s my two cents worth especially related to tech stocks I own. First of all investors/traders seem to be jumping in and out of technology based on the latest COVID-19 / vaccine news.
Re KXS; will still be in demand long after Covid-19. LSPD; somewhat sensitive to Covid-19 but have done a good job diversifying and adapting restaurant services etc. Will do well in recovery.
Maybe more acquisitions.
SHOP; like Amazon will carry on even though the valuation is high. Younger generation will still shop on line.
Now comes the tricky part. WELL and VEEV. I don’t quite have a handle on. Not sure if the demand for their service will still be there post COVID-19.
Your comments and/or thought would be greatly appreciated. I have a feeling that many of your clients would be interested in what you have to say.
I’m an experienced investor but don’t have access to the kinds of info I once did. I depend a great deal on your unbiased expert opinion.
Merry Christmas
Roy

Q: Are you aware of any plans/ timing XBC may have regarding listing on the Tsx or Nasdaq?
Q: Years ago I thought it would be good to add some preferreds to my RSP so I bought HPR . It hasn't done well but has a dividend of 5%. I'm thinking of switching to AD.UN but it's already had a good run. but has a high dividend. What do you think.
Q: Hi 5i team,
I need to increase my holdings in industrial stocks and am thinking of either TT or LMT, hoping they have a strong enough balance sheets and growth potential to come out on top after the pandemic shutdown. Which one would you buy now and why or other preference? Would you answer be different if the vaccines are not as effective and the economy lock down dragged on through 2021? Thanks.

Air Canada Voting and Variable Voting Shares (AC)
Q: Hello Peter & team,
Read a report that stated bank deposits are up considerably. Reason... It appears People are banking funds without having the opportunity to take their annual vacations because of Covid. Vaccines are in the process of being distributed. There will be an end to the lock down eventually, and when that happens people will be biting at the bit to travel. I know I am.
My question... I'm thinking the beneficiaries of this pent up demand are going to be Cruise Lines, Airlines & Hotels. (plus anything else you can suggest) Are you able to tell us - your loyal 5i family - which companies we should be targeting which will benefit once everyone starts being able to travel again? And if you could, please provide your futures opinion on Air Canada which is still down 50% (approx) compared to it's pre-covid highs. I am seriously considering a strong position and would like to know your thoughts.
Thanks for all you do
Gord

Q: Could I please get your thoughts on these two US names and current valuation and if good entry points
Q: Do you like this Stock and would you be a buyer for long term hold. Do you think investors should be concerned about US govt trying to break up company - what do you think is likelyhood and if it does happen impact on the stock?
Q: I have read articles that suggest JMIA could be like AMZN in the US or the MELI in South America. Do you feel that they have that kind of prospects in Africa?
Q: Hi 5i team,
Need to up my % in the following two sectors consumer cyclical and consumer defensive.
Can you point me to a few stocks from each sector that are fairly valued and are included in either your balanced or income portfolio? Or if there are other canadian stocks outside your model portfolio that fits the bill.
Thank you.
Rino

Q: Hello Peter and the rest of the 5i Team. I have been investing on my own for about the last 5 years and have done ok primarily sticking to well managed, established companies. In the last year or so, I have added some more "growthy" names, which you guys have suggested and have worked out very nicely (thank-you). My concern now is trying to hang on to what I have made. I hear a lot about the market cycle and money rotating out of one sector into another. I am also picking up on future inflationary concerns and how now is a good time to start buying gold stocks. Also, interest rates are so low and really have nowhere to go but up. Government debt levels are mind-blowing? What does this all mean for the market? I know that having a balanced/diversified portfolio is important and it is difficult to time the market, but based on where we are in the cycle, is there historically a preferred sector that I should be moving some of my money into? Gold, resources, financials, real estate? Or is it time to take some profits and increase cash positions? With interest rates so low and eventually moving up, does it make sense to buy bond funds/ETFs? Can you please help me make sense of all this and suggest a few names to consider?
Hopefully my question makes sense. Thank-you.
