Q: Can you share your thoughts about OII? It seems that they are a lot more than a supplier to the oil and gas industry.

Q: Hi Peter,
Of the bigger O/G Cos we own CNQ and IMO but not CVE or SU. IMO has been on a solid run lately and we're wondering why vs the group laggard SU (easy to see using ratio charts). For new capital would you stick with CNQ/IMO or add in CVE or SU. Do you agree that with higher rates the Oils are a good place to be ? Finally CNQ has committed to greater returns when their debt target is reached; are there similar committments from the others ? Thank you and pls deduct credits as appropriate,

Q: In a year BEP.UN down 32.22 % , FTS down
3 .65 %. Why the difference; BEP.UN initially overpriced FTS “ underpriced “, green stocks way out of favour, etc? I own a fair amount of BEP.UN and do want to sell but if there is something fundamentally wrong with this company I don’t want to hold on until it’s a penny stock or something like AQN happens. I imagine Flatt and others are wringing their hands and hope they do something to improve the share price.
Thanks. Derek

Q: Noticed the question on WDS today and wondering if you think the high dividend is safe.
Q: Can you please provide thoughts on ATH Athabasca oil? I purchased the stock earlier this year taking advantage of the dips in prices of oil stocks that seemed unjustified at the time.
I initiated this particlar name at 0.6% of the portfolio and it's now grown to be 1.2% of the portfolio. I have other oil and gas stocks TOU, ARX, CGE, and TVE. I'm not in a rush to sell ATH and the chart looks like it pretty much has free-air above it to go a lot higher... very little by way of chart resistance.
How do you look at the company given current circumstances? Add to it? Hold it? Trim it to not give away winnings?
Thanks!

Q: With a 5 year time horizon, would you recommend initiating a position in BEP.un? Any concerns about the dividend?
Q: Peter; With the big deal announced will NPI have to raise equity? Thanks.

Q: Could you please give me an update on Innergex? I notice that a lot of the renewable energy companies have performed poorly this year. I'm wondering if there is anything company-specific to be concerned about, with Innergex. Thanks.

Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P. (BEP.UN $39.85)
-
NextEra Energy Partners LP representing limited partner interests (NEP)
Q: Don’t you think that NPI, AQN, BEP, BLX downtrend in the last few days is related to the new NEP/NEE very bad outlook in the renewable sector?
Q: Good morning 5i; I would appreciate your assessment on the stock performance of NEE in the medium term based on the no/slow growth announcement today. The stock has dropped 8.2% on the news, which ironically was the same day it was selected for Morgan Stanley's dividend playbook. I hold it for modest growth and $US dividend diversification. I'll likely swap out if I conclude it has the hallmarks of an underperformer.
Q: AOI was sharply lower today. Do you see any news or have any info. Thank you
Q: Hi Peter & team: Long time member- Great service - Thank You!
With regards to Hans' question about Brian Acker's views on Market call- I took it as more of an issue about when cash dividends in $ paid out per share are greater than EPS. Brian used BCE and ENB as examples of an early sign of trouble and one should avoid such situations. You have handled this in the past (very well) Can you provide us a refresher on the opposing view ? If I remember correctly the net is basically "dividends out greater than EPS is OK, but not forever " Thanks in advance.

Q: TRP or ENB and why?
Q: Can you see any particular reason for this stock to do the nosedive it has taken the last week or so? I have not been able to find anything anywhere. Thanks. H.
Q: Hi 5i Team,
How do you feel about this company as an income play? It has a high yield but being that oil and gas is a nationalized industry in Colombia does this make the company very high risk?
Would you be buyers for a small income position or would you stay away?
Thanks for all you do!

Q: Has ath said what their plan is for all the cash they are holding? Is unusual for a company to hold this much cash and not specify what they are going to do with it?

Advantage Energy Ltd. (AAV $12.22)

Trican Well Service Ltd. (TCW $5.79)

Q: Hi, I own Parex, Gear, Trican, Pason, Advantage and Prairiesky in small percentages for this sector . Collectively, I am about breakeven. I would like to consolidate into two or three holdings. Of these, what would be your preference? Overall total return is the objective.
I have also seen Terravest mentioned as a favourite compounder in the same sector in the Q&A, Is this a new entity or did they do a recent name change from a former company. Is this a more preferred name vs the others mentioned?
Cheers,
Steve

Q: Only 2 questions on ARR in archives and both old. Can you give a quick review on how investible this small renewables royalty company is after 2 years of operation? What alternatives would you suggest if you feel there are better opportunities (either other renewable royalty companies or individual companies such as BEPC)? Thanks for all you do, John
