1. Dividendhistory.org shows about 1% lower yield for bepc vs bep.un. is it correct.
2. It also shows that for bep.un, the dividend was reduced several times. Is this correct or were shareholders allocated shares in a split off?
3. Is bep.un / bepc a low / average price now?
Would you chip away or but a full position now?

When I asked the same question about the stocks in my portfolio's vulnerability, 5i said about ENB ....." ENB may not be impacted much and in fact is planning on expanding pipeline operations if there is a surge in US drilling under Trump. " ....Could you please clarify ? If I'm vulnerable ENB is going to be sold ..... Thanks for your terrific service .......

Your reply to Mike’s question on affects of DeepSeek was bang on. There is a lot of missing information on GPU’s, heat reduction, capability during high volume, etc, though to their credit the programmers may have found a new way to look at data which may be all that general users require.

BUT, let’s be clear, they could not have progressed without Western ingenuity and the Chinese government encouragement to steal western code and technology over and over again.

Our thoughts: Data centres are coming with the evolution of hardware. The Blackwell GPU may be ahead of its time and that is a risk for NVDA and to some degree VRT. We think NVDA missed an opportunity for extended longevity by announcing Blackwell too early.

Electrical grids require updating to be efficient with changing climate activities and technology regardless of data centres so we will chip away at a few stocks. If you assess the need for electricity from data centres at 50% of what it was projected and infrastructure improvements, what would be your top 5 stocks to purchase today?

These are my energy holdings with TOU 2.7%, TVE 0.61% and WCP 0.48%. They've pretty much been flat for the last three years. Other than the dividends and special div's that TOU pay, what is the thesis for holding or adding to energy currently? I know valuations are low, but what will be the catalyst to get them moving again other than higher energy prices? I have TVK as well at a 3.9% holding and have included that in my energy allocation as well and its been a big winner. Looking at opportunity costs here from holding these energy names vs other names.

Q: I added some units of BEP Brookefield renewable Power when it went sub $30. The dividend yield at sub $30 is about 6.5 per cent and the price is getting close to 52 week lows. I know that on Monday a lot of the utilities, especially Vistra in the US, dropped a lot on speculation that the new Chinese AI model might indicate that power demand for AI may not be as robust as some think. But BEP has been drifting down for a while. Is there something wrong with BEP that I don't see? Should I continue to hold BEP or even add some more at these depressed prices?

Do you consider it a good idea to journal SOBO.CA holdings in a CDN$ Non Registered account to a US$ Non Registered account so that US$ can be generated in a similar manner as journaling BN shares from my CND$ Non Registered account to my US$ Non Registered account for the purpose of generating US$.

Q2. Do you see any negative aspect or tax implication with this strategy?
