Q: Why is SCR down so much today when all other oil names are up? Is it something about the takeover? Couldn't find any news. Thanks.

Q: BTE, I know not your favourite but recently it has been slowly climbing up the charts. Your thoughts please.

Q: Superior over time had hovered in the $12 to $16 range. Lots of volatility in it's history.
In 2011 it dropped below $6 and again in 2024.From 2011 to 2014 it recovered to over $14
In 2025 it has bounced off that $6 range, and analysts are forecasting a target price around $10. I have read your recent posts saying their 2025 fiscal year estimates raised.
Two questions:
1) What fundamentally caused this recent dive down to sub $6 from near $16?
2) Given management has raised it's guidance, are the fundamentals improving and is the $10 target estimate from analysts justified?
Thanks

Q: Hi 5i
These are held primarily for dividends and (expectations of) some growth. Would you keep both for their different growth drivers and dividends or lean towards ENB being larger/safer at this time?
Thanks

Q: Who will benefit most from lng canada pembina or keyara
Q: In your answer to a question concerning IPO, you indicated debt at $400 million. Their public information indicates year end net debt at $213 - 221 million and 1.1 - 1.3 times Q4 2025 annualized EBITDA. How did you calculate $400 million based on above info?

Vanguard FTSE Emerging Markets All Cap Index ETF (VEE $44.21)
-
Vanguard FTSE Europe ETF (VGK $79.18)

Q: Emerging Markets, Developed Markets, Europe or Bonds. Which represents a buying opportunity now? Which does one need to wait for a pullpack before buying ETF in these areas?
Q: can you kindly comment of InPlay's recent earnings report. This company is quite small and has a rather attractive dividend yield at 10.8%; is it sustainable. Also can you comment of the company's debt position and how it stands relative to other oil and gas companies. Thank you
Q: what accounts for the relatively large move in the stock price today? Is this a good time to buy some?
Q: I picked up a # of CVE in usd and a # of CVE in cad because of cash available in different denominated portfolios. I can do a securities transfer to marry up the two in one accout with no fee and consolidate the position to tidy things up. My question is for 5i, which way would you go with this transfer? Move the USD CVE to the CDN account or the other way? Im thinking move the CVD usd to the cad as the dividend is probably paid in cad and would save on currency exchange fees. What are your thoughts?
Cheers!

Q: Nuclear/ Uranium
There is a trend where more energy is going to be needed for AI and nuclear appears to be a good energy source. In the past you have suggested ETF,s NLR and URA as well as stocks CCO and NXE. Do you still have the same opinion and what stocks/ETF would you recommend as an entry point.

Q: What explains the big increase (around 7-8%) of the value of these stocks today? What do you expect for the future and what is best to do (buy, sell or hold)?
Q: Trump seems to be interested in reviving the Keystone pipeline project. If this happens, would it be significant for TRP?
Q: Would appreciate your opinion on the following
Given the trade tensions between Canada and the USA what is the chance that Ottawa might not allow the takeover. And should Ottawa deny the takeover, what happens? I assume PKI shares could fall substantially.
Secondly, the current value of shares and cash, which most likely all PKI shareholders will get, is currently not $44 , but closer to $41.50 a share. Do you concur? And if so would you anticipate any top up to bring the offer closer to the $44 level.?
Based on your analysis, what is the best strategy: should Parkland shareholders continue to hold the shares or sell the shares and move on?
Thanks for your insight.

Q: Hi, PKI is trading well below the Sunoco offer. Who would vote Yes to such an offer?
Major shareholders: Simpson Oil 20%, surely not, FMR LLC (Fidelity) 11% ? , Engine Capital 2.5% said NO on Friday.
When will a new offer come? Probably at the last minute, it happens a lot.
Great weekend to you.

Q: Hi there,
Please comment on recent outlook comments from the company.
Do you think it could be an ADD at this point for those of us who are underwater and holding over the past few years in a diversified account?
Ok thank you

Q: BEP Brookfield renewal property is yielding over 6 per cent at the current unit price and it is trading in a tight range (about $30 to $33) the past few months. I add to my position when it gets near $30 and trim it when it gets near to $34. I think it is a good company to hold for income but what about capital appreciation? This stock used to trade up around $50!! Was that due to the 'green energy hype" of the past? I know that cost of capital is very important to high capital, low margin industries like power production, but BEP should have pretty low cost of capital since it belongs to the Brookefield group of companies, right?? Also I have scoured the company website to try and find out how aggressive BEP depreciates their assets, particularly the wind and solar since solar panels do need to be replaced as do those big blades on the wind turbines. I would like to know if BEP is depreciating these assets quickly enough, but I am not sure where to get that kind of info.

Q: Hi Team,
What's your current thoughts on the current Meg takeover offer? Do you still feel a higher offer will come to play? What's the usual timeline on takeover offers such as this as to when another company might swoop in for a higher bid? The offer from Strathcona is open until Sept I believe, but I would have to think if a competing offer is coming it would probably be much sooner than that would it not?
Thanks,
Shane.
