Q: Hello and Greetings,
Globe and Mail - Aug 28th 2018.
DR makes it on the Top 20 SHORTED companies for August.
"....stocks targeted by short sellers under-perform on average"
My question: So why did DR Just hit 52 week high?
What are we to think ? Should we treat short selling as "noise" or does it herald a medium / longer term decline?

Cheers

Q: Given developments in the nafta trade negotiations, would you agree this is a good time to take a position in all 3 stocks? If your answer is yes, how much max portfolio percentege would allocate for these stocks? Which one is your favorite for most upside short term?

Q: Hi
I'm a bit confused over how to assess growth companies on a valuation basis. I understand you can use a PEG ratio to factor in future growth, but a lot of the growth companies out there have PEG ratios that are far above one. How then would I know whether a company is "undervalued"? Would you compare to peers in the same sector or compare to historical values? Is there a PEG ratio that you have in mind above which you would never invest?
Thanks!

Q: Preferred Shares: How to evaluate risk? How have blue chip preferred shares behaved during previous massive downturns such as 1987 and 2008? Have they gone down as much as regular shares? Thank you for your fine service.

Q: I'm looking to add 6 Canadian stocks to my registered accounts; stocks (and if appropriate ETFs) that display good growth potential and have a bit of a dividend. I'd appreciate your suggestions, in order of preference please. Thanks as always.

Q: I have a question about 995
I have 200 shares of Enf and my understanding is that I will receive 140 shares of Enb. Given that Enb is down significantly today why doesn't it make sense to sell Enf at today's higher price? Do you think enbridge will sweeten the deal fir Enf like they did with spectra?

Q: I own both of these companies and I have very good gains on each of them. What is your rationale for adding to a winning position? Should I wait for a pullback or add to it monthly for the next 3 months or so in addition to the DRIP.

Thank you,
Jason

Q: Hello. One ENF share is being offered as 0.729 of an Enbridge share (ENB today at $47.12). ENF price should be 0.7029 x$47.12=$33.12 as to the agreement. ENF is now $33.95. Why is ENF trading so much higher than the conversion rate (2.5% higher)? Is there a reason behind it? Is it because ENF has a higher monthly dividend? Also do you have an idea of the exact date ENF will be converted into ENB shares? Thanks as always.
