Q: As per my question back in July the value of the options are supposed to be accounted for on a quarterly basis in the payables. Directly to my question if we were ganna have to wait many more years before they have little effect on the financials, your answer was:
``Much of these expenses are reported on the financial statements each quarter at fair value, and so although they might have a vesting period of three to five years, the fair value expense of these are recorded. When the DSUs vest, there should not be a material change to the income statement since the options were already accounted for using their fair value over the previous financial statements.
Even though the stock price has risen dramatically over the years, this increase has been accounted for on the financial statements already. A decrease in share price quarter-to-quarter can actually benefit the financials as the fair value of these expenses can decline. ``
What happened in the last quarter reporting then? Weren't the options valued correctly just 3 months ago?
Hard for me to wrap my head around this situation with HPS. It just feels that there is more money flowing into the pockets of the directors at the cost of my investment.

Q: Hi Guys
Five has dropped from above $200 to about $83. What do you think of the company at these levels? If you had a 3 year timeframe today would you buy Five or Dollarama?
Thanks Stuart

Q: Good Morning,
SPB has bounced back somewhat since the recent dividend cut.
Do you expect any further appreciation or is now a good time to sell.

Q: Thanks for your answer from the posted question on Nov 11th about its price valuation. I will hold my position based on your answer with confidence that it will appreciate. I also wanted to note that I find it strange that the market is suspicious of its accounting practices. I say this because they have an increasing cash position that they use for aquisition and other tangables. If it was nefarious they wouldn't have that cash power. Anyways time will ease their suspicions. Thanks again for your service.
Q: Please give initial comments on Shopify's quarter; thanks

Q: Hello
Brookfield Corp has smartly shot up to $82, from $75 level a few weeks ago, with stock showing strong momentum. It seems to have followed its private equity peers, with a favorable scenario after Trump win.
Company is also due to report in a couple of days.
We have a very small position < 1%, but like the Co a lot, being one of your favorites.
How would you approach building a position to at least 2% ? Would you be comfortable adding some shares, before the results and so at what price range ?
What is your recommendation to further consolidate this position, after results, if any weakness and price levels, please ?
Thank You

Q: Good afternoon. Today, in answering a question comparing Uber and ISRG, you implied that Uber was a cyclical company (or at least that is how I understood your answer). But I don't understand how or why Uber would be considered cyclical. Can you clarify?
Q: Hello 5i,
It was mentioned that AW:CA is worth keeping for income. So far I am down $3,000. Is there a reason for this? I know we are not fortune tellers, but after an initial period of indecision would it be expected to go up? Would you suggest an adding to QSR in a U.S. account or another Canadian option? If so what should be considered? Time frame is five years for this 78 year old income investor.
