Q: If you had to put together a portfolio to hold for at least one year for max gain what would they be? No concern for risk or the size of the company. Must be traded on a USA exchange although not necessarily a USA company. I’m guessing you will include smci, vrt, google and amazon. Part two of the question is whether I should sell some smci to lock in a gain? I’ve never in my life enjoyed such a large gain so quick. Thanks.

Q: Good morning,

I am looking for the best ETF to hold in my TFSA account that follows the S&P 500 index along with the reasons for your particular preference?

I understand that since HXS does have any distributions, there is no withholding tax to be concerned with which is an advantage. On the other hand, due to the distinct tax efficient structure of HXS, the MER on the HXS is higher than VFV and other similar ETFs that track the same index.

Given that both ETFs track the same index is there a clear winner for a TFSA account?

Q: 1. Most gold mining stocks are not going anywhere since 2020. I’m looking for juniors for possible growth. CXB is getting traction since its Marathon Gold acquisition. You have already suggested KNT, KRR, ORLA. I find ORLA interesting and many analysts follow it. Would you compare CXB with the other 3 for future growth?

2. Would you have a reference for ranking countries as per their “friendliness”/risk for mining companies, eg african, latin american ones.

3. Is GDXJ really represent “junior” miners ?
