Q: Want to refine my pipeline/processor holdings consisting of ALA,ENB,ENF,IPL,KEY,PPL,VSN.
Looking for yield plus growth of ~7%. Have held all for over three years and some seem range bound,Not sure which have the most castalyst for growth.
Your thoughts on best to own and which to drop. Would likely convert the proceeds of disposed ones into more of the holds to maintain same total $ position in the group.

Q: Please rank ENB, TRP, PPL, IPL & Key as to their dividend rate, safety of the dividend and the volatility of the share price from best to last. I want to add one of these companies to a RIF. Thanks

Q: Hello 5i,
A guest on BNN recently mentioned Keyera in the context of being a potential take-over candidate. I realize such is likely nothing more than idle speculation, but I am now curious: where would such a bid most likely originate? Utilities such at ENB, FTS, TRP, etc or more the likes of a Suncor? Or, are either equally as probable?
I would like to know what kind of viable candidates you would see out there. I am guessing KEY would go to a Canadian buyer under the present set of circumstances. Thoughts?
Thanks,
Cheers,
Mike

Q: Hi Peter, Ryan & Co.
I've been holding Keyera for over 5 years, mostly for the income. They announced a 6% dividend increase yesterday, along with quarterly earnings. Can you please comment on the latest quarterly results wrt volumes, cash flow, and whether KEY can continue to increase its dividend by 5-6% per year looking forward?
Many thanks,
Brian

Q: I have owned IPL, PPL & KEY for many years & as a result have built up substantial capital gains & continue to receive very healthy monthly dividends. My question &/or query is whether to continue with these very staple equities or sell all or part to better deploy funds in other sectors. I do not NOW hold any direct oil or gas investments; having sold all in early 2015 as I firmly believe the oversupply of oil & gas will only continue to grow throughout the world until we have replaced it with alternate technologies. Your comments are always appreciated. Thank you.

Q: I hold TOU, ALA, KEY. Down 18%, 24% and 13% respectively. This is all my direct oil/natural gas exposure which represents 17% of my entire portfolio.
I have 10+ years investment horizon for these stocks. These stocks fluctuate a lot which I don't mind but I dislike being underwater for a prolong period of time.

Should I stick with these names or should I make a switch to other oil companies like VET? If yes what names would you suggest and how should I divide the investment % wise? Which stock(s) to sell and which one to keep? Switch now or later?

The goal of the switch is to position myself for eventual(I believe) oil recovery.

Appreciate your insight.

Q: Hey Guys,
I am trying to create a balance portfolio and I also need to consolidate a few of my positions, way too many individual stocks (40+)!
What are your thoughts on both Keyera and Prairie Sky (total of 3%) for a long term hold. Should I sell one of them and move it into they other one OR sell both and purchase something else (please provide a few names).
Thanks
Jim

Q: Hello 5i Team,
Utilities and pipeline companies are counted as 'blue chips' in many retirees' portfolio due to 'safe' dividends and some growth opportunities.
With the current thesis of the decline of fossil fuel in the context of low carbon future, what are your thoughts on these companies? Would there be a change of guards with these industries being replaced by renewable energy and clean tech energy in the next decade?
I have the following names which I am concerned about where they will stand few years from now? Which are the weaker ones that I should sell?
PPL, KEY, AQN, TRP, FTS, ENB.
Are there Cdn or US companies that you can suggest as future 'blue chip' in the renewable energy and clean tech energy industries? I already owned BEP.UN. Thanks.

Q: Could you give us your view of Keyera's latest earnings. They look like they're out of the park to me but would like your opinion. Also do you foresee a dividend increase in the future with these kind of results. And lastly what is your view on the "mid-stream" sector which has been beaten up quite badly as of late. Keep up the good work! Thanks Scott
