Q: Hi 5i Team,

I know international markets aren't your wheelhouse per se but any insight you have is appreciated. I have been reading a lot about Mexico's surprising growth over the last few years and better-than-thought projected growth for 2024. It sounds like even Scotiabank is planning on redirecting investment from other underperforming Latin American countries to Mexico in it's "Mexico First" strategic plans.
With this in mind, do you know of any Mexican companies that may benefit from this growth with compelling fundamentals that are listed on the NYSE or NASDAQ? Or even American companies that get most of thier revenue from Mexico?
I already own the ishares Mexico ETF but was interested in buying some individuals stocks.

Thank you all for your always sage advice and wishing you all an excellent and relaxing holiday season!

Q: I am reading about the benefits of adding commodities to a portfolio (PIMCO /Ibbotson 2006 study). Low correlation with other assets, positive correlation to inflation, optimal allocation from 9 to 29%.

Any overarching comments on the pros and cons of commodities in a portfolio?

Can you recommend how a regular DYI investor might try to add exposure to this area?… an ETF? Any specific securities you recommend taking a closer look at? I don’t want to be buying pork belly contracts!

Lastly, suggestion on ranges of how much commodities should represent in a portfolio? A conservative investor would be X% while an an aggressive investor would be Y%.

Q: Morningstar has a stock rating service that provides a "fair Value" of a stock. I am wondering if you are familiar with it and what you think of it. Are you aware of any other services that provide fair values? Thankyou. Cheers

Ps: I may have asked this before. If so, please ignore this qwestion.

Q: Hello, I am looking to enter a position into one of these two companies, I am leaning towards DOL. They have both been a consistent compounder since I started watching them over the years. Do you have a preference ? This would be a hold in my TFSA, (if that makes a difference)
Thanks.

Q: I saw this comment today.

We expect that its royalty interest will be upheld in international arbitration. Although not imminent, this royalty which accounts for 22 per cent of its net asset value represents excellent upside optionality once Franco Nevada and operator First Quantum Minerals has its day in court.

What are your thoughts on:
1) Has the market basically written off this royalty stream in FNV's stock price at this point?
2) Great buy at this point given bonus upside down the road when things hopefully resolve and they recover something.
3) Would you sell WPM to buy FNV given this? Though WPM has higher potential returns given its silver exposure i think.
