Q: I read a more detailed US legal article on the TD money laundering scandal in NY/NJ and was quite disturbed. It has been a core holding of mine for a full decade. Thinking of taking it down from a full to a half position while the DOJ probe and further sanctions play out. Would you caution against this at this time (with damage already done to stock) or do you think its a prudent move?

Q: I own ASGN:US and is still down 20% after the 5% gain so far this year. Is it worth keeping? Would you sell it and add to AMZN:US?
Q: Could you share your thoughts on this ETF, how does it work? Do you think if it is a good long term investment? Thank you.

Q: Please recommend the name of 5 TSX stocks, for starting a $100k retirement fund, earning 10% on dividends + appreciation, relatively low risk. Thank you.
Q: Hi,
I'm just reading about Gates joining Buffett in selling what seems to me to be a large amount of the above noted stocks, and I'm wondering if you've any thoughts on it. Is this typical for these two powerhouse guys to do this every once in a while, or might this time be different? Given the political situation in the US and other, global issues, I have to wonder if they are in a better position than most to have insight on something. I realize this is a speculative question, but would still value your opinion - many thanks!

Q: Why did the price of oil increase dramatically between Dec 2023 and April 2024? Where is the price of oil going next?
Q: Given the chance of a second Trump Presidency and the likelihood of tariffs, loss of democracy and full on graft and favouritism what Canadian companies are likely to thrive or at a minimum survive? Is there a defensive strategy that would work for either result in the election or is it one direction with Trump and another with Biden?
Q: Hi folks
I am thinking of selling TRP and ENB and replacing them with CNQ in my TFSA.
May I have your opinion on the switch. Just looking for a little more growth.
Thanks,

Q: You have not been very supportive of Chemtrade. Are its recent earnings starting to win you over? At least as a dividend payer with a good, safe dividend.
Q: What is your opinion of RBA with respect to its long term growth, valuation and as a hedge against a future economic recession. Thanks so much for your help.
Q: XSP is the CDN hedged version of the S&P 500 which should match the performance of SPY (the S&P 500 in US dollars) over the same time period. However XSP has significantly underperformed SPY eg the compounded annual performance of XSP for the period ending April 30/24 for 3 years, 5 years and 10 years is 6.71%. 11.45% and 10.98% respectively. The corresponding nos for SPY are 7.94%, 13.09% and 12.30% ie XSP has underpermed by 1.23%/year for 3ys, 1.64%/year for 5 years and 1.32% for 10 years. Both ETFS have the same MER of 0.09%- Blackrock indicates that the cost of hedging is included in their MER but this cannot be the case. Is the real cost of hedging with XSP as high as 1.23-1.64%/year? There should a small tracking error but these differnces in performance are siginficant and consistently in favour of SPY
Q: I own both of these stocks and have to sell some. Could you please advise which has more upside in the next six months. Cheers
Q: Asking your views for CompoSecure and SurgePays please thanks.
Q: Hi 5i, I haven't seen any recent comments on KLA. I'm interested in your perspective and whether you think it's a good buy today (recognizing that Nvidia reports tomorrow)?
Q: I never thought I would be contemplating whether or not to continue to hold these “sleep at night stocks” but here we are. I have no doubt they will recover but in what timeframe? I am particularly concerned about TD. I believe regulators are going to set an example. I am 75 years old and time is at a premium. Please give me some guidance.

Q: Hi, can I get your recommendations on some Industrial stocks for a conservative portfolio as well as a few picks you might lean to with your inclinations for more growth. Thank you as always! Looking forward to your suggestions.
Q: I have a question about name changes. In your experience if/when a Company changes its name does this help or hurt. My question is specifically about Veran (Crescent Point Energy). Now I have held this Company stock and options for a long time and made lots of money on it. Also lost some along the way. They have been slowly changing their operations to be very positive ie: no more Saxberg and serial aquisitions. Now they have decided to change the name and the stock has not responded very well. I grew up on a farm and found you may dress up a pig but it is still an oinker after the dress-up. Thanks Gordo
Q: What do you think of TXP's most recent results and prospects going forward.
