Q: 1. I hold some TFII and would like to have your outlook and the future growth of the company
2. Can I get your order of preference between IIP.UN, CAR.UN and TCN and how do you see them going forward. Both IIP.UN and CAR.UN have been trending sideways for some time now .
For a new position and a 5+ year hold do you currently prefer IWM over IWO? Or could you recommend another ETF that would be good small cap exposure. Would IWO be a bit more challenged in a higher inflation environment?
Q: BTAI May your please provide your assessment of this company. I have been a holder for past two years only to see it decline by 45 %, with a further 15% decline today.
Do you like it, and if so, would you been keen on continuing to hold? Thank you
Q: Hi, I'm needing more consumer defensive and am considering Costco. Wondering what your thoughts are about this company and its prospects going forward. I already have some consumer with VDC but need more and am also low on international. Feel free to suggest other ideas that merit consideration.
Thanks,
Perry
Q: I sold 33% of my shares in Shaw in March, shortly after the take over bid was announced. At an ACB of $22, it's a nice gain. Given the current price of $36, do you think it's worth the risk of holding out for another $4. A bird in the hand .......
Your thoughts?
Q: Hi 5i,
I know you haven’t been big fans of WBA due to their debt load. They had a decent earnings beat today, boosted by Covid vaccinations. They took a majority interest in Village MD to open more health clinics attached to their drugstores. They are also considering exiting the sale of tobacco products.
What are your thoughts on WBA these days with this renewed health focus?
Thanks again.
Q: Looking at some recommended company's that are near 52 week lows that have a lot of future growth and years of multiple upside. Can you suggest your top 5 companies that fit this criteria(and why you believe the upside potential). I would like to set and forget(for years) for my next few purchases. thx for the great service
Q: You had mentioned "GSY initially purchased a swap on the AFRM shares to hedge away market exposure" in response to another on GSY..Could you explain how share swaps works in this context? Thanks.
Q: Hi, With the increasing natural gas prices would companies like SPB benefit from this? Does this present a good opportunity to get into the Energy sector? Thanks.
Q: While Cielo seems to be getting its act together my take is that current work relates to pilot plant development and it will be some while yet before capacity, and revenues begin to emerge. Do you have a time line that might be used to commit to a worthwhile investment and what product competition they could face roughly within that timeframe?
Q: Hi Guys
When using the rule of 40 to determine the performance of software companies. Would using 3 yr Rev Growth be acceptable , as some newer companies aren't profitable yet. ? and regarding margins, what are you looking for, Gross Margins, Net Margins, or EBT Margin.
Thanks Gord
Q: What are your thoughts on the latest Mawer mutual fund - MAW 180 and does it have place in a well diversified portfolio?
Also is there a withholding tax if held outside of a RSP.
Thank you
Q: I'm interested in these ETF themes, how would you rank them long term? Do you see any overlap between ICLN and LIT? And if I wanted to go the individual stock route instead of the ETF, what would be your top two individual stock picks within each ETF (either cad or us listed). Thank you!
