Q: If one was to initiate a postion in XHY today, what is your best guess the rising rate enviroment we are likely going to be in will effect the unit price say in the next year or two? I'm thinking the drop in unit price could be more than the juicy 4.94% dividend, on the plus side more bond exposure lowers the volitility overall.

Q: Hello,
I have a decent amount of exposure to names such as Brookfield Renew., Enbridge, Fortis. Should we expect a large correction in these names if rates increase faster than expected (if so what would be your wild guess in % for a correction?) I am a long term holder and don’t need the income. I was hoping that rate increases would be mitigated by the inflation we are experiencing. I am trying to decide if I should sell some and replace with financials and technology. I am slightly overweight utilities and main reason was for stability / safety. Thank you!

Q: After watching the PMO office enact the EMA and then outline that financial institutions could arbitrarily lock you out of your accounts sent chills down my spine. Regardless of whether you agree with the protests going on or not, I find it worrisome that our government can just dictate that. This seems like a problem that could arise out of the blue and should have a plan of defense from it. What if any advice would you have in this regards?

Q: Scotia I trade gives me access to purchase GICS, just like stocks from my account.
They state all our GIC issuers are members of Canada Deposit Insurance Corp.
My Question is would you be comfortable purchasing GICS from the following group, up to $100,000 ( the CDIC Coverage) as they provide much better rates than our big 4 Banks.
1) Versabank 2) ICICI 3) B2B 4) Concentra 5)General Bank 6) Equitable Bank

Thanks Guys !

Q: Is this (160) a good entry point for 3M if looking for a strong dividend payer? How about the potential risk related to several lawsuits in the U.S. The company is not getting back to its full earnings potential as the global economy is facing a downturn.

Q: Do you think that DIS share price will be more sensitive to 1) Disney+ performance, 2) theme parks/cruises or 3) theatrical and linear TV businesses? There is likely still some re-opening upside for 2) but I suspect that they will find it difficult to continually achieve lofty expectations for 1), and I assume 3) will be under pressure as well. I'd appreciate your thoughts on holding DIS or selling. Thanks.
