Q: Hello,
To which would you add/start a position in to today? Long term hold. I already own STN and WCN (would be averaging up).
Also, if you could explain the drop in Stantec that would be great.
Thanks!

Q: I have had XHY for awhile and it has treated me well. I also have a full position in CNR. Would you have another suggestion if I were to lighten up on XHY as you are suggesting?

Q: Reflecting on the Software apocalypse... Given that most trading has been automated for years, I assume that it is now largely AI driven.
A question asked only partly tongue in cheek, is it possible that trading AI's see the software companies as adversaries and the stock market as one avenue of attack?

Q: Hi there. Do you have any thoughts on the ETF DDFD as a way to have exposure to both long and short sides of the market? Is it worth it to have a position/ half a position here? Thanks
Q: Hi
Looking back at previous and most recent comments, you've considered PINS as a hold.
Would this still be the case ? Current thoughts please.
Thank you

Q: I read in the Q&A that portfolio analytics does not give a sector breakdown for HXS.
Does this mean that the analysis of my portfolio indicating which sectors i need to increase or decrease are inaccurate?

Q: Hello Team 5i & Everyone,
If anyone is interested in a "roadmap" for how new technologies (ie, railroad, electively, telephone, internet, AI, etc) have historically been adopted into society - I'm currently reading this book on the subject: "Technological Revolutions and Financial Capital: The Dynamics of Bubbles and Golden Ages" by Carlota Perez.
It's become a popular reference point for the implementation of AI.
Thanks,
Sandra

Manulife Financial Corporation (MFC $50.73)
-
Great-West Lifeco Inc. (GWO $63.15)
-
Sun Life Financial Inc. (SLF $92.47)
Q: Of these three, can you rank them in order of your preferred investment (ignoring other broader portfolio aspects). Feel free to say "none"...or "I'd wait if I were you" if that's your assessment.
Q: Hi 5i, scanned comments for review of recent quarter but could not find anything. Pls opine on their results. Is there any reason for the slow grind down over the last year? I would have thought the "big beautiful" bill coming this year would ignite consumer spending hence their toll fees. I'm looking to lighten up on my Cad financial sector holding due to the lack of progress in our economy getting anything built, plus the bleeding of manufacturing jobs and increasing delinquencies. Thx.
Q: In your answer to Kevin’s February 13 question about AI outfits scraping and using proprietary information, you referred to the legal consequences to doing that; there is currently an application to a Court in California to approve a $1.5 Billion settlement by Anthropic for copyright infringement by authors and publishers. Presumably that kind of amount will be something of a guardrail.
Q: what price would buy peyto
Q: RSP is the equal weight S&P 500 ETF available from US exhange with an MER of 0.2%. IMO this MER seems high since the the normal S&P 500 ETF is .03%. Do you know of any similar alternatives at more competitive MER's closer to .03%? Many thanks.
Q: Greetings,
1. The last time a question was posted on this platform, regarding Allied was in November. Does that suggest a lack of interest? 11 year lows can't be helping much.
2. There are many insider buys at less than $200 per transaction. On January 14th, an insider spent just $43! To my eyes, unusual, so my question - why would insiders buy in such tiny tranches?
3. Payout ratio's - I'm having trouble trusting some of the numbers out there. What do you think it is and after the December dividend reduction, do you think future dividends are relatively safer?
4. What's the connection with CHP.UN and is it a good sign?
5. Oversold? At what price would you consider the purchase worth the risk / reward ?
All the very best
